I still have the stock EL42's, but I plan to get the Kumho ECSTA ASX (235/50WR17). They are $106 a piece, only 27 lbs, and they received very high ratings overall. I live in Michigan so I can't get a summer tire.

I have the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A's in 215/55/17. They're ok (maybe because they only have 800 miles on them), but have terrible reviews on tirerack.com.

I have the Kumho ASX on another car. They're pretty good and they're cheap. I can't tell you how they perform in the winter, though, cause I switch them out for a dedicated snow tire.

Used to run Goodyar Eagle f1s 235/50/17-rear 225/50/17 front. Best setup for the stock 17s with good alignment in my opinion.

Not a guy, but a girl (woman? LOL!) trying to get a wheel/tire education for when it's time to replace the current set-up. Here's mine:

Brand: Firestone
Model: Turanza EL42DZ
Size: P215/55/R17 93V

The last part is total Greek to me, but I know you know what it means!

I am considering these tires, if you don't mind me asking how are they holding up? More specifically how many miles do you have on them and how many do you expect to get out of them?
Thanks,
Lips

They have great reveiw on these tires on tirerack in terms of tire life. I drove only 1000 miles on them then switched back to my 19s after i dropped the car.
I have done some canyon runs with these tires and driven to its limits. After about 20 mins of hard driving (almost sliding the car on each corner) they get very hot and lose grip but before that they grip and give steering feedback that i wish OEM coupe tires would give me.
Excellent in wet, infact I dont think u can buy any other tire that grips so hard in wet and even dry.

Expect 15,000 miles out of (in my opinion and the opinion of countless other people and magazines) the best tires you could buy for your car without going to extremes (slicks or close to it)

Just get them balanced and rotate them every 3K and you'll be very happy with these tires.

I got 15k out of mine but they were the best tires I ever owned. Great in the dry and in the wet, really sticky, and a rock solid feel. Buy them in 235/50/17 for the stock wheels. Do a search on here too for them, see how others like them.
