I'm planning on getting the BFgoodrich g force sport for $98 a piece at tire rack real soon. I've heard they are pretty damn good for the price., also I'm kinda strapped for cash right now but my tires are completely bald, thank god i live in the LA area. I'm definitely going to go 225/50/17 as they are the clost to stock you can get, just a hair wider!

actually i take that back 235/50/17 is the closet.. too buldgy for me though

I have stock 17" (painted black) and I went with:

Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons (new tire this year)
235/50/17 on all four (AWD)

Great tire, very stiff sidewalls, good all around tire. Getting great reviews.

Kumho Ecsta ASX 235/50/17... they're okay - good value. It their price range it's what I would recommend.

nope. 235/50/17 is as close as it's gonna get... 225/55 is a bit off

I just bought two Kuhmo KH16s (215/55/17) for the rear. I read generally positive reviews on tirerack. I'll let you know how they work out.

I have some cheapo one the dealer put.

Planning on Yokohama YK520 215/55-R17

Update: I got the 225/55-R17 Yokkhama YK520 instead. Looks much better than my previous ones. Too early to say how it is but Discount Tire Direct has very good reviews.

Was $122x4 + Free S/H (448)
Installation $17x4 ($68) ... total $556

I read that ONLY Discount Tire Direct sells those.

Yokohama YK520
520 A A
95V
60,000 miles

Summer: Toyo Proxes TPT 215/55/17 x 4
Winter: BS Blizzak WS-60 215/55/17 x4

I'm pretty happy with the Toyos. My next summers will be BS G009, I had a set of RE910s on a previous car and loved them.
