Have an 05 sedan which is now 11 mos. old with 14K miles and last week I started hearing a rattling sound either by the right side of the passenger seat or by either the passenger door or the plastic non matching colored bar between the 2 rt side windows. I can't tell exactly where it is coming from. I will point it out to the dealer when I go back in. Should I feel optomistic that the dealer will be able to fix it or is it once a rattle always a rattle.

And I thought I was home free regarding rattles as I went 11 mos rattle free. Guess it takes time for things to loosen.

Rattle can be fixed
I have had many rattles and creaks coming from the window areas of the doos. There is a TSB for this. My dealer finally ordered the parts and I'll see if it fixes the noises. Good luck.

If I listen to anything w/ base, my rt door interior handle rattles. If I reach over & just press on the handle it stops. After a day or two it comes back. At my first oil change, I'll have the dealer look at it.

I hope the rattle fever doesn't spread like the bird flu. I do have a rattle/window hiss that happens when the car is cold. Glad that it disappears shortly after the car warms up.

Is this a noise that sounds almost a snap? I have a sound like that, it seems if I lower the window slightly, it goes away, I've tried to get that fixed, and so far it's never done it when I take it to the dealer, seems to happen more when the car has been sitting in the sun and is warm inside.

I had a similar squeak/rattle, and it turned out to be the entire right seat.

If I just grab the shoulder part of the pass seat and wiggle it or push back and forth, i can make it squeak. Must be the hinging of the top and bottom part of the seat or something, not the anchor bolts.

Turn up the radio...or now that spring has greeted us in the N.E. open roof and windows and pretend its not there...

I had a rear passenger door/window rattle problem. It is more like a rubbery sqeaky noise. It is very annoying. I've talked to my dealer and they are aware of the problem by many G owners. They will fix it during my next visit.
