HKS exhaust sound clip!!!
#46
For MI SO FST - This is the set up I have decided to change to. Picked up coupe mid pipe today. Thinking about getting HKS through Chad at Infiniti Specialist's in Riverside. How is the sound in the car? My current set up drones and is annoying at times. Trying to get away from that. Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. My car currently has two 4"x20" Magnaflow mufflers where the stock mid pipe used to be. Had a custom install done to give my sedan a dual exhaust. It just isn't working out the way I wanted it to. In addition, I'm dropping the car an inch and I have already scraped the exhaust tips as it is. They are too low. I'll throw on the HKS rear to mid pipe and like it. I don't want to change again or drop more money into the exhaust. I'm sure it won't be louder than what I have now. Thanks again. Here's some pics of current set up. Guys, the sedan just isn't meant to have a dual system IMO.

If anything get the HKS rear section and put it on before you do the coupe mid pipe and see how you like it. If you feel you need alil more sound then change it out to the coupe mid pipe. Let me know what you think.

well i was thinking HKS rear section and coupe middy, then i was on streetfire.net just looking at HKS stuff, u know how they make the HKS Hi-power for the z and g coupe, well i was wondering how bout putting on a HKS Hi-power on a sedan, of course it would be custom work, but it should sound awsome. I think i'm gonna e-mail HKS and see wut kind of resonators they use, cuz i want the exact sound, we'll see, if not that, HKS rear with coupe middy all da way!

YEP! Replace sedan mid pipe with coupe mid pipe and add the HKS rear section. It is a great combo. I have had mine on now for about 2 weeks and it is awesome. Get your parts from Chad@Infinitispecialists on this board.

Honestly, it sounds like anything but rice. In person it sounds a bit different than on computer speakers. I have the set up and it is a great combo. Very quiet in car. Louder at higher rpms. No drone at all.
