Hey Guys,

I know that you all have been waiting for weeks and weeks for us to get this prototype exhaust system done. Well we have the 1st stage of the development done.

My G35 was dropped off and we pulled off the stock system and try to figure out what was needed for our Vibrant system. Stillen and Borla both use dual 2 1/4inch midpipes. We decided to try using a 3inch system with selective parts from our Vibrant 350Z system. Instead of using dual 2 1/4inch midpipes we are trying to see if a single 3inch midpipe will produce power. These are the parts that we used for our system.

- Vibrant 350Z Y-Pipe
- Vibrant 350Z midpipe with resonator
- Vibrant J Bends (mandrel bend piping)
- Vibrant single inlet/dual outlet muffler

We encounted some problems making the prototype. The stock G35 muffler is very short and has very strange inlet, cause of this our prototype muffler is angled a bit to the side. Instead of fixing this tomorrow, i'm going to drive the car for the weekend and hit the Dyno on monday . After that then we are going to straighten the muffler so that it looks just right! Wish me luck @ the Dyno on Monday

Here are the pics

Stock Resonator

Stock Midpipe

Stock Muffler

As you can see in these last 2 pictures, the muffler is angled. Please remember that after the Dyno session on monday, we will take the car back to the muffler shop to fix this and I will post more pics on tuesday!!!!

Please comments and let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions please feel free to ask...Thanks again for all of your paitence guys. Trust me I understand the frustrations that come with waiting for companies to develop aftermarket parts for our vehicles. Please try to be paitence and I will keep you guys constantly updated on the development

When I started the car it sounded awesome! I was surprised @ how good it sounded. It was a tad bit loud compared to what I expected, but that also has to do with the fact that it's a 3inch system. Driving home on the highway I could definitely feel the power throughout the entire rpm band. In 2nd and 3rd gear the car felt like an absolute animal. There was another Black G Sedan on the highway and I passed him doing about 125km (about 78mph) and when I exited off the highway, he came up beside me and told me that the exhaust system sounded amazing. I will try and do a db test this weekend and post the video on Monday. Thanks again for your paitence

Nismo managed to pull off power and torque gains on the dyno with their 3" 350Z system. So hearing that this system is also 3" isn't so bad, but I'd still want to see a dyno.
