I was cruising down the road today when a 7 series (last year's model) came up on my rear. I figured I knew what he wanted. We get to the next light an both take the right lane. I am in the front at the light and he is right behind me. Light turns green and we floor it. He was about 4 to 5 cars back and wasnt going anywhere. I stopped it at 80mph back to cruising at 60. He pulled up next to me, smiled, nodded and gave the thumbs up.

Boy that was fun :-)

BMW needs to work on their reliablility issue first before feeling better than anyone.

 

I visited a friend recently who paid $40K for his 330i... with a thunk at the rear axle whenever he came to a complete stop. My guess was either ABS/diff related. He had it for 4 days......

Nice car but certainly far from bulletproof, and my G accelerated with more "oomph"....and it was a little too small for my needs.

The 330i was a little small for me, too. I drove a couple 3s, but I can't honestly say with a straight face that anyone would be able to fit behind me with my 6'3"+ frame in the driver's seat. Great cars, but like you said, far from bulletproof.
