*sort of* New Sendan Owner

Hey Everyone,

Just thought that after all this time checking out the forums that I should po in and say hello. I'm 17, and recently made sure that my dad picked up a Twightlight Blue 2004 Sedan instead of a Toyota Camry. I'm not exactly sure how I did it, he seemed pretty set on the Camry, but now I'm his new best friend , he loves the power and the stylings of this car...which is exactly why I pushed him into getting it, hehe. One problem with my father is that although he does love the car, he lacks the willpower to clean the car off everyone and a while, which essentially makes me the one who takes care of it. Hopefully I'll take it off his hands in a couple of years, so no worries .

Anywho, just thought I'd say hello to all the people who accually care about keeping this beast in top shape.

Welcome, man... at least you can keep it looking nice, I hate to see dirty Gs out there! Hope you get to drive it and take it off his hands soon. Later,

welcome ! i too am a "sort of" new sedan owner. I acutally drive the 92 camry while my dad drives the G. and mannn he let me take it out once and wow, just wow Thank god you at least admit that its not your car unlike some other supposeldy 18 ish year olds who "own" their own G35. Just remember dont do anything stupid, stay within REASONABLE limits of the speeding limit and just find a good patch of twisty turnies while ppl drive slowly on them u can whiz by at speed limit

Better yet, find your local region of Solo2 autocross and go push the car to it's limits once a month or so.

I wonder what it costs to insure a 17 year old to drive a
$30,000 + 260 HP sports car?
My daughter is 12, turning 13 in December. She thinks she will be
driving either my G35 or my wifes 222HP Maxima in a few years. Ha Ha!

Re: *sort of* New Sendan Owner

I accually drive a 98 Camry, our other car (Like I said, my parents were in love with them). The reason we got the G is because our 92 Camry's Tranny fell apart (another one :P). Insurance was expensive, but as of now I'm not included as a secondary driver, I think my dad wants a bit of time to enjoy the car before I show him what he is missing . I can't imagine what it would be if I was the owner of the car, on the old 92 Camry, I havd my friend write up the insurance for fun...it would have $6,000 per year.

I can tell you how much it cost to insure a 16 year-old male driving a new modded SHO. I had comprehensive coverage, too: A lot.
