Just got my GT-8 - First Impressions

Just got my GT-8 off the boat yesterday. Its pretty much mint. 1 owner - 70,000km. Fully loaded apart from sunroof. Interior is perfect and there is only one pin dent on the boot. They have uprated shocks from the factory and even with a single spinned and shagged tyres it handles so much better than my Coupe - on standard suspension anyway.
How does it drive? Its the first car I've driven with a CVT - and that is odd enough in itself. Plant your foot and the tacho just stays at 6 and the speedo goes up. Odd. I pegged the 8 speed paddle shift as a gimmick until I have the car a good belting under the cover of darkness. Its brilliant - as is the car as a whole. And its quick - 5.5 to 100 kph and it does it all with such little fuss.
I was going to put 19s or 20s on it, but I may sacrifice looks to retain the taut handling and steering - we shall see.
Jash

Judging by his choice of words, I'd say he's in the U.K., not America.

First you notice he uses KM not Miles.
Second you notice he said one of the tires was Spinned and Shagged.
Third A Good Belting meaning abusing the car alil something something.

Anyway congrats jash.
Enjoy your new ride.

I have been waiting for Top Gear to do a review on the New Skyline Coupe even wrote them a letter but have heard nothing of it.

Thanks for the compliment. I had a girlfriend from Great Britain, and it read like they she had typed it.

My guess is Australia. It is a JDM only car. Sounds nice....

BTW, the reason it never came here, is because of the 8 speed CVT. It cannot be exposed to cold temps. It really would not work well in the UK or most of Europe because of trans.
