Clutch vibrations with the wipers.

Hi,

Just bought a Black G35 sedan 6MT, and have about 1k mile. The other day it was raining and I noticed my clutch was vibrating (more like pulsing). Initially I thought it was the music, but realized when I increased the wiper speed the pulse frequency also increased. What is the connection between the clutch and the electrically driven wipers??

Mine is a 2003.5, it just felt wierd with the clutch pulsating like that, particularly if you are driving in a stop and go traffic.

I noticed this as well, the very first time I used it. I thought I was going crazy. I have a 03.5 sedan 6MT.

I guess, if we complain loud enough they might find a fix for it. Do you guys know if there is a place to voice these complaints?

Couple places to complain. Of course, you can complain to Infiniti HQ, but you can also file a complaint online through the National Highway Transportation Safety Board (their link is under the TSB forum here)--where you will find databases of other people's complaints, investigations in progress, TSBs issued, and full-blown recalls.

Can I ask you a question?
How long have you been driving?
Because anyone that has been driving longer than 10 days would know that there is no relation between the windshield wipers and the clutch.

Pemberton, of course there is no relationship between the clutch and wipers --- why do you think we are finding this so odd...

Re: Clutch vibrations with the wipers.

The only relationship is that they are both mounted on the same firewall. Vibration from the wiper motor has found it's way to the clutch pedal....

Re: Clutch vibrations with the wipers.

Pemberton, I have been driving this car for a month now, already have around 1100 miles on the odometer. It is not just me who noticed this. There are others if you look in this thread. I do know that there is no mechanical linkage between the clutch and the wipers.

Thanks dreamsenoi for the info

Re: Clutch vibrations with the wipers.

You guys with the sedans aren't the only ones. Ive got the 6MT coupe and mine does it too. But yea it probably is because of the location of things. It does feel weird and it is annoying. So don't feel left out. I thought it was just me.
