I think I might have posted this pic before if not it is just like the one I have one file. I would print and use it.

Oops. My mistake. I missed seeing the file has specs for both 2WD and AWD. Thanks again. I need them for tomorrow when the car goes in for an alignment.

Foo_G, so how close to spec was your car after alignment. Is it better now?

Oggie, please give us an update afterward if possible. I plan to do my alignment in the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunatelly, the shop I went to had problems with their alignment machine. I have to go back to get it done next week. However, they did re-center my steering wheel closer to the center. After my car was lowered, the numbers still seem to be not too much out of specs. But that could be an incorrect reading from the faulty hardware. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the update Oggie. I might be doing the wheel alignment tomorrow. Let's see how the schedule goes. I love the lowered look and the car just handles so much better in turns. The only thing is...need to slow down a bit more now especially with bumps.

Also, I can visually see the rear tires are leaning in a little...at an angle. Is this normal after a drop?

ummm... mikey... how the hell did yur caster change from the before and after alignment if caster is not adjustable on our cars??? and why did the rear camber go from -2.6 on the left to -2.9? They should have brought the camber in more or left it at 2.6

I am not sure about the caster, neither do I know what it is. Below is a copy of the wheel alignment report. Yeah, the rear camber looks way off. I believe the rear left toe was very off and by correcting that back into par, the camber rear left got knock off more (-2.9). However, when he was aligning the wheels, he showed me on the computer screen some 180 degree bar with a needle. Before he align it, the needle was no where close to center. Then I see him twisting some nuts/bolts under the car next to the wheels and then slowly get most of the needles on the screen to the middle and that's the report it came out with. On the computer it seems fine but on paper the cambers are off. What's going on? Is the negative camber going to kill my tires quick? Should I go back to the shop and talk to them? Thanks...

After doing more research on the web and this forum, it seems like Toe is more of the reason for tire wear after a drop. My rear cambers are definitely off but my Toe are in range of factory spec. Should I try having the shop fix the camber but risk affecting the toe settings? The below paragraph is taken from the tirerack.com website http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...e.jsp?techid=4

I think for X owners out there, you might be better off with the Coupe springs that drops it by 1 inch for (X) rather than 1.4 with the Z springs. Plus with the shorter drop, you have more clearance on the rear and a more even drop I think. I can't complain though because the drop just makes the car look so much better and handling as well.

Additionally the vehicle's toe is one of the most critical alignment settings relative to tire wear. A toe setting that is just a little off its appropriate setting can make a huge difference in their wear. Consider that if the toe setting is just 1/16-inch off of its appropriate setting, each tire on that axle will scrub almost seven feet sideways every mile! Extend it out and you'll discover that rather than running parallel to each other, the front tires will scrub over 1/4-mile sideways during every 100 miles of driving! Incorrect toe will rob you of tire life.

It was my understanding that the Camber on our G's in not adjustable without having to purcahse camber kits/arms

I could be wrong and I am no mechanic. I believe you can twist some nuts/bolts to adjust it a little and get it "close" within the range. Camber kits are to get it back to the range. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I was told that the camber couldn't be adjusted much (if any)... Mine moved a touch with my alignment but thats all

Here's the factory specs for the 04-05 sedans with sport suspension:

Caster: 7.0/8.5
Toe: 0.00/0.08

Rear:
Camber: -1.1/-0.1
Toe: 0.00/0.22

Specs after installing 05 350Z full suspension and before the alignment:

Front:
Left: Right:
-0.8 Camber -1.5
8.3 Caster 9.3
-0.01 Toe 0.00

Rear:
Left: Right:
-1.5 Camber -1.3
0.12 Toe 0.04

Specs after alignment:

Front:
Left: Right:
-0.9 Camber -1.4
8.3 Caster 9.3
0.05 Toe 0.05

Rear:
Left: Right:
-1.0 Camber -1.0
0.07 Toe 0.10
