350z Springs Alignment ?- need some help out of the rough
I have the nomex suit on so if you wanna come with the flames turn it up good. I have searched on this topic and can not find a clear answer and I would appreiate it if some one could chip me out of the rough on this one.
I have an 05 Sedan, duh, with the sport suspension. I just installed some 03 zspringz, touring edition, and I would like to know what I specs I should have the alignment shop dial in.
Thanks,
Noah

have them dial in the stock 05 sedan sport suspension alignment specs. My 05 is lowered on revised 05 350Z rims and i was able to bring everything that was adjustable back into spec (i aligned it to the 05 sedan sport suspension specs). If i had a camber kit for the front i could bring that back into spec too.

Toe is about the only thing you can really get back into Sedan spec is what I read. Castor is non-adj. Camber is with additional suspension pieces. But since the Z and Coupe springs don't lower enough to get the Sedan's camber too seriously neg, then it generally stays within 'spec'. Spec being on the outside spec for the sedan or dialed in for the Z or Coupe. But the alignment shop might be able to play around with the camber by loosening/tightening various bolts/nuts to get back some camber if that's your wish

I too have searched and gotten confusing info.
Some say spec it back to the sedan and some say use the Coupe specs.
I just lowered my 2005 non-sport using 2005 350z suspension and need to get it aligned. I will wait a total of 2 weeks before I get it aligned but would also like some clerification to what specs should be used.
Thanks in advance for some info

i used the '04-'05 sports sedan suspension settings for my alignment. i'll post up the specs later but basically they were able to correct toe. camber was off but they key is to keep the camber/toe differences from side to side as close to 0 as possible. q45tech will hoepfully chime in here

I installed complete 05 Z suspension on my 2003 non-sport G sedan.
I didn't get an alignment afterwards, just from driving and watching the tire wear closely it doesen't seem like I need an alignment at all, any one think differently?

Lowering will increase the toe in. Toe is the biggest contributor to tire wear. So while if the toe is still consistent, it might still track straight. But you would still be experiencing increase tire wear. GP what were the before/after toe settings? Still remember? Was it still close?
Let me ask the question another way... It's been established that with the 350Z springs we can get close to factory specs for the sedan. but if we have the 350Z springs, would we WANT to align based on the 350Z specs?
