I think most ppl should be able to get at least $1,500-$2,000 off MSRP for the '07 G35 Sedan. I just negotiated $2k off the '07 BMW 335i tt Coupe (loaded car at $53k MSRP) which has only been out a week although I'm still undecided between the '07 G35, '07 M45, and the '07 BMW 335i Coupe.

As far as your other choices, well the Lexus GS350 is a beautiful car and $800 over invoice sounds like a good deal, but don't forget that it's a lot more luxury than sport, and will not come close to the performance numbers of the '07 G35. The Acura TL Type-S is still FWD, which kind of kills it for many ppl, and the Acura MDX is in a different category all together - it's a full size SUV, which will be $50k loaded with similar features as a loaded G35 Sedan. btw - we may look at the redesigned MDX for my wife's next car to replace her Honda Pilot. All great cars though...good luck.

That's nice to know, so basically 335 E90's will be selling for roughly the same discount as it did in 2k6. The number off list is simply a "courtesy" if you ask me, because it's 2500 off a 38k 325, 2500 off a 47k 330i, and it sounds like now 2000 off a new 335. The percentage is smaller as the car is getting more expensive. My dealership said the coupe is 40,600 base, which is really only 4 grand more than a 330 sedan. Since coupe is more anyway, my calculations show the motor to be only 2800 more, well worth it. Then again, when I hear even north of 40 for a car, I start to cringe. 50, forget it.....

I would be very happy if I could get a G35 for 2 grand off list--that's the depreciation protection factor in my mind. Anything we pay higher than what it's gonna level off at say 18 mos. from November, is all lost to depreciation, a premium if you will....again I cite the 1st 6th gen Maxima buyers for '04. They lost huge to be the first on the block....

Agreed. The single factor that causes people to not get a good deal on a car is their lack of patience. Most people can't wait so they pull the trigger early without shopping around first. Car salesmen can tell if you really want / need a particular car and they'll be less willing to offer you a good deal because they know you'll pay more because you're desperate for the car.

The 2007 BMW 335i Coupe is a gorgeous car. The reason why I haven't considered a BMW 3 Series is because they're way too small for my taste.

I currently have a 2005 Acura TL 5AT with Navigation so the 2007 Acura TL Type-S isn't too high up on my list, but I figured I'd consider it. As far as the 2007 Acura MDX goes, the interior is gorgeous, but I'm not sure about how much I like the exterior styling. I guess I have to see it in person. I don't know why, but I've always wanted an SUV. The 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD is more luxury than sport, but it's a gorgeous car. I almost pulled the trigger on it, but I decided to wait until my other choices came out so I can test drive them all before deciding. I'm going to have a tough time deciding between these vehicles this fall, but I'm not complaining.

Unfortunately, there is only one Infiniti dealership that services the entire east coast of Canada and is 250 miles from where I live. The second closest is 430 miles away. It is a little harder for me to shop around or haggle price when they know that you can't go elsewhere. Well, I suppose I could go elsewhere, but it would be such PITA and probably not worth it in the end. It sucks, but thats the reality. On the bright side, since the nearest dealer is still a four hour drive away, there are hardly any Gs on the road where I live.

We are about the same here Shane, only one dealer in the state, at least it's here in Albuquerque, but they treat people well in after the sale service. Lexus is the same, only one dealer. I have bought vehicles from far off dealers before, and you are right, it is a PITA.

Not to mention the coupe will be coming out in spring so the demand for the sedan shoud drop some allowing for better deals.

Tom, I wouldn't of guessed that you only have one dealer in all of NM. Like you said, at least it is right in Albuquerque where you live. Since my closest dealer is a 4 hour drive, I get all my regular maintenance and any warranty work done at my local Nissan dealership.

That is a good point. However I am not sure if the new Coupe will take away from the Sedan's demand or not. I could be wrong, but I would figure that those who are looking for a Sedan typically are not interested in a coupe.....just becuase of the four door requirement. I guess time will tell though.

Yeah, Infiniti is still a smaller brand around here, but the dealership has grown a lot since I bought my '04. That's good you can get all the maintenance done at the Nissan place, that would suck if you had to go to the dealer!

It was generally expected as a summer release.... that could be June or even Sept

Since my lease end is May, it could be a problem.
I could always extend for another year... but that seems like a long time to wait.
