Exactly. I think Infiniti is seriously missing out the optimal release time for new G35. Instead of November, they should released it in September or no later than October. I mean, we've seen full test report on G35 on all car magazines already but we have to wait two more months to see the damn car?!

BMW has released no less than 11 new cars this year alone (Z4M, Z4 coupe, Z4M coupe, X3, X5, M6, M5, 328i/335i coupe and now 328i/335i sedan). What has Infiniti has released this year? Nothing! I think Infiniti guys are just plain lazy.

No I'm not mistaking 330i/335i for IS350. IS350 has the worst back seats. Although 3 series has slightly more leg room, its back seat has serious bulging due to the rear wheel opening. You simply CANNOT sit straight near the rear door in the 3 seris. If you do, the bulging forces you to face the center of car. For two person, this is OK but forget about sitting 3. If you don't believe this, go sit in 3 series back seat and you'll know.

 

Ok, I guess we just define adequate differently. Personally I think the G sedan is getting too big - it'll be the size of a TL soon.

 

I'll admit the IS350's rear seats are cramp even for children, but the 335i is bigger; not G35 big but definitely adequate. However, the only people that ever go in the back seat of the car are my kids. If you’re using your G for a people-hauler then that's your choice, but I cannot imagine having 4 adults even in the G while driving aggressive.

 

What is this metallic paint option on BMW's?

Is it just a primered body if you don't specify metallic paint?

 

I haven't sat in the rear of the new 3-series, but after sitting in the back of the IS250, I quickly crossed it off my list. Heck, even the IS front seats aren't as comfy as the current G. Lexus make quality products, but I can't help but wonder how in the world Lexus could have overlooked such a glaring deficiency in the area of seat comfort.

 

Haha no. You can get I think white, black or red that is non-metallic and save like $400. Audi does the same thing.

Last month, BMW had 14 different 3-Series models on sale. Infiniti has only 3 different G's. That means that BMW has almost 5 times more 3-Series models to choose from than Infiniti has G's.

Yet, BMW doesn't sell 5 times as many 3-Series as Infiniti sells G's. In fact, they sell about 2 times as many (77,783 vs. 38,382).

I think it is easy to see why BMW outsells Infiniti, they have more brand cachet and 5 times as many models to choose from.

Price is a factor, because the 325i sells 3 times more than the 330i. Plus, the invoice price of a 325i is with-in 16% of a 330i's invoice price. Not a huge difference IMO.

 

If I was going to spend that kind of money on a 335i, I would get an Infiniti M45 instead. "V8"....enough said.

It will sure be for me. There is no way in hell I waste 55Gs on 3 series. I don't care how "fast'' it is.

that .000 sec whatever difference is not worth 10-12K more out of my pocket.

When it comes to German luxury brands, anything bellow a 5 series, A6, E series etc. is simply a waste of money imo.

I don't care how many models of 3 series they are or how many they sell. The only 3 series I am interested in is the 335 and I have no interest in another type of G35 unless it is faster. I've been daydreaming about getting a 335 but the one look at the price quickly brings me back to reality. With just one option, the sport, it's already $42k without any frills. Unbelievable. I'm sure it's a great car in all but not sure it's that much greater than a $30k car.
