Can 4 wheel Steer come with Navi/Tech?

I just got of the phone from my dealer here in Toronto Canada and have a Black o nBlack Sport Auto, Tech, Navi coming in. I asked for it fully loaded with all options including 4 wheel steer. When I went through the Bill os sale it did not say 4WS. They said that 4 wheel Steering is only availiable on the sport model if you do not get Navi or Tech packages. They stated that I cannot get the car with Navi, Tech and with 4WS.

Anyone have any clarification on this issue. I cannot see how the 4WS would be affected by the presence or absence of the tech or navi package?

I haven't seen anything in the Nissаn material made available online to date saying that rear-wheel steer and any of the major option packages are mutually exclusive. Ask the dealer to show you where they are getting their information from. I can't imagine why Canada would be different from the US in that respect.

On a side note, I would want to drive a car with rear-wheel steer - especially on a rough road - before deciding that I want it.

I remember reading somewhere that the Active Steering option won't be available for a couple of months. Not sure if there is any truth in that so take it with a grain of salt.

I don't want to cast aspersions on a dealer I know nothing about, but as a general rule, dealershіps prefer to sell you the car they have/expect to have rather than the car that you want, if different. Some dealershіps are more, um, "aggressive" than others in pursuing that goal. To his credіt, Nathan at Infinitі of Elk Grove raised the possibility of a factory order without my asking when I set out some specific preferences in the course of my test drіve yesterday.

any dealer can order cars but yes some dealers won't give you that option. there are a number of different color options, packages, and combinations so to order one from the factory would almost be necessary in some circumstances.

I think it is available but the sales lady is being told by management that it is not. In any event. The 4WS would not be a deal breaker. It is a $1500 dollar option and only helps in high speed handling or parking. I am getting this car as a winter car and a car to help haul kids around and prefer the tech conveniences more than the 4WS. I also would prefer the car now rather than in Feb. I plan to get a Porsche Cayman in next fall as my summer and work car...

From the ordering guide, 4WS requires premium package - that's the only dependency (and its available only on the sport models).

Its a stand-alone option pkg - and like others have said it is a "delayed availability" option
