Dealer Tire Swap?

This may be a dumb question, but if I get the 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport, would I be able to get the dealer to install all season tires on the stock 18" G35 Sport wheels? I would buy the all season tires and then bring them to the dealer for the install. Also, would I be able to get the dealer to deduct the price of the stock summer tires on the G35 Sport if I told the dealer they could keep the stock summer tires? If possible, this would probably be the most convenient option for me.

no to be rude.... but why don't you just ask the dealer? you're asking us that aren't selling you the car but you're going to ask the dealer anyways, right? why even ask us in the first place?

I asked because maybe someone on this forum has done what I asked. This is a car forum where you come to for answers to questions and I just wanted an answer to my question.

Doubt your dealer would want to do that but if they currently sell tires there perhaps they will. You might have better luck trying to trade tires with the place you're buying the all seasons from especially if they carry that brand.

My dealer has a 2006 X in there showroom with 18's and it looked great. I asked if this was an option for me on a 2007 and I was advised that it was. The catch is you still get and pay for the 17's, they will not take them back or give a partial credit toward different wheels. Too bad!

Infiniti tire options are too limited, though perhaps that is part of the premium when paying for a car such as BMW.

2007 Infiniti G35 Sport
Split 7-spoke, 18 x 7.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/50R18 W-rated sumer performance tires (front), 18 x 8.5-inch aluminum alloy wheels with 245/45R18 W-rated summer performance tires (rear).

2007 Infiniti M35
8-spoke, 18 x 8.0-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 245/45R18 V-rated all-season performance tires (front and rear).

Would the tires on the M35 fit the wheels on G35 Sport safely and w/o any problems afterwards? I'm clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff. Thanks a lot guys. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Slick actually the Bridgestone Tires that come with the Sport are pretty good in wet weather, rated excellent. Check out http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Potenza+RE050A

So other then snow these tires should be fine. Now for snow you should go with snow tires anyway.

Also note these tires are like only $200 each.

A couple of Infiniti dealers are willing to do the swap. They'd buy similarly priced all season tires and put them on for me instead of the stock summer tires. WhooHoo!

there's not many options for the front tire size with all seasons...did they mention what brand/type of all seasons they would swap with?

Nope, they said if the all season tires cost more than the Bridgestone summer tires I'd just have to pay the difference and if the all season tires cost less than the Bridgestone summer tires they'd credit me the difference.
