Doesn't say anything about turn signals.

But if this is the signal... with that shape, you would think LED ?

After I test drove a second time, as I was leaving the dealership, another customer had taken it out for a drive. The dealer was trying to exit the lot and make a left onto a busy street, so it was just sitting there waiting. I got to see the turn signal, and it blinked red inside one of the red rear LED rings. I can't recall if it was LED or not.

If I'm wrong, please correct me.

That makes sense from the spec quote...
The ring is LED for sure.
The center is probably incandescent.

Felt that way about the 335, but guess what? I got over it! Plus I liked how the stalk didn't actually remain down or up while turning, it merely acted like a switch, the same as the 745/750.

Have to admit the Passat has some sweet looking tail lamps--all white until the brakes or turn signals go on, then it becomes red/pink.

I went to an early launch event tonight (10/25), and I double-checked the turn signal. It's just a regular incandescent bulb that blinks inside the outer LED taillight rings.

Why do they cheap out on the G's. The FX has nice sick LED's for both braking and signaling....the coupe better have full LED's for everything, or im going to b maddddd

I thought the new G used the outer LED's for signaling, based on the FX. Speaking of the Passat's taillights, the '07 TL base model has something similar (not round, but white sections which light up red with the LED's more visible than before). The TL still uses a regular incandescent bulb for signaling.

The coolest and the best are still the first--Cadillac. I think the reason is they are tiny dots, and they are not in a straight line. Somebody came up with this design and knew what they were doing. I have a friend who has a STS, and when I told her about her LED tails she had no clue what I meant. I had to ask her b/f to step on the brakes and hit the turn signal and have her come to the rear of the vehicle--she said she had no idea it looked like that and it WAS cool....
