Like a stiff suspension but also like AWD.

Hoping that there will be lowering springs/shocks/sways available that can be used on the 07 G35X, is this a realistic expectation?

I realize that practicality never gets in the way of the modding bug, but don't you want all the ground clearance the manufacturer gave you with an AWD vehіcle?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic but no, I don't want the SUV ride height, I want an AWD sports sedan.

After all, this car isn't exactly high off the ground either right?

The AWD sedan has LESS ground clearance than the regular RWD.

Is that true? The car is certainly raised up with more wheel gap.

I could be wrong, but I would be VERY surprised if that is true.

According to the website below, the RWD and the X have the exact same ground clearance. That makes sense, because I couldn't imagine why Infiniti would give the X less ground clearance than the RWD.

Thats for '06. According to the spec doc posted earlier, for '07 RWD has 5.3 inches, AWD has 5.1. I'm not surprised it is slightly lower, there is more gear under there. The AWD is not really about the ground clearance, its about the traction.

This table wont past well at all, but here it is.

EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS (inches) G35 G35 Journey G35x AWD G35 Sport G35 Sport 6MT
Wheelbase 112.2
Overall length 187.0
Overall width 69.8
Overall height 57.2 57.8 57.2
Front track width 59.8
Rear track width, RWD 17”, 18”, AWD 60.2, 59.8, 60.0
Minimum ground clearance 5.3 5.1 5.3
Coefficient of Drag (Cd) 0.29

The G35X does sit taller than the other models by over half an inch. The other models are 57.2" overall height where the X is 57.8" overall height. I believe it lists the AWD as having a minimum ground clearance less than the others because of the running gear required by the AWD. The actual entry and departure angle of the X is greater than the RWD versions.
The end result means the X has more wheel gap than the RWD model and the body does sit higher off the ground.

Congrats, Wayne & K. - I can sense the excitement all the way here...

Until you find a set of M-wheels, those 18's will look real nice....

LOL, I'll know where to look in case I find my M sitting on 18's instead of 19's one day.........either in Kin. or Dartmouth ----

Here's hoping that pesky dock strike ends soon so we hungry canucks can get our new rides......
