Heres a dumb question.... Is it possible to lock the key FOB in the car?
If it near a door or whatever is should open right? Maybe if it fell under a seat it would let you lock it inside?

Yes, you can lock the intelli-key fobs in the car.
I've found dead spots in both the interior and the trunk that let you lock a fob inside. You have to look for them, but they're there.

you can lock the keys in when the car is running, but the way I understand it if the car is off the doors will not lock. My salesman threw the key in the trunk and closed it, it just popped open again.

How did you find dead spots?

I can lock my wife's purse in the trunk with her fob in it if she tucks it in the front-right corner. I've also locked the doors with the fob in the back seat.
I've heard of people locking the doors with fob in the console cup holder, but I couldn't repeat it with mine.

Don't get me wrong - I love the Intelli-key, and 99.9 times out of 100 it won't lock the fob inside. I'm just saying it's not foolproof.

Is each key fob tied to a seating memory position? In other words, does the car knows to position the driver's seat according to the fob that unlocks it?

Yup.
When you save the two sets of memory settings you can link each one to one of the two fobs. The driver's seat and tilt/telescope wheel will move to the settings for the fob that unlocks the doors next.
I don't link my wife's fob to the memory anymore. She kept jumping the gun and unlocking from the passenger side when I was going to drive, and the seat would move to her settings. Now she has to press her memory button if she drives it (fixed her!).

people forget how to set the memory to the key fob... basically hold set for 2 seconds then press either [1] or [2] for 2 more seconds.... once the light is lit on the number press [unlock] on the keyfob and the light by the number will blink 10 times to confirm and you're all set. pretty simple after you do it a few times
