The cigarette lighter in the ashtray? My 03 had an aux plug on the side of the center stack. Can't find any such plug on my 07.

I plugged it in the same place as you until I hardwire it later. My 04 had an aux as well, it seems like the 07 doesnt have that feature anymore

I mounted mine to the visor and then ran the power wire down the left side directly to the fuse box using a spare fuse and slot.

Planning on hard-wiring it into the fuse box and mounting it under the headliner - where the tint strip is so it's invisible from the outside.

Here is my current setup (Passport 8500 with remote silencer).

Here are pictures of mine mounted to the visor and running the power wire down the column and to the fuse box.

So you could easily remove and re-attach the trim pieces on the A-pillar ??
Any special considerations / tools ?

Also how did you splice the power wire into the spare fuse slot ?? (sorry I am thick headed !)

The pillar I was able to just grab it and pull on it and it just pops out, real easy. Then you just pop it back in.

On the wire all I do is fold the wire over one leg of the fuse and push it into the slot. Been doing this for years.

Got a pic of this so I can see what slot is used and how exactly it's set in? Thanks...and nice work!

It's not easy to really show but when you remove the fuse box cover you will see a chart that tells you where the spare fuses are and when you look at the fuse box you will see empty slots you can use.
