A dealer in the NY Metro area told me the 6mt isn't coming out until Mid-January, but I have noticed that people on this forum have them already (at least some). Is he pulling my leg or are the 6mt's not coming to NY for awhile?

 

Leg-pulling. He probably wants to talk you into the AT they have on the lot instead of the MT you want. Somebody at my nearest deаler told me that MTs wouldn't be available in California until December. Meanwhile, forum members in California (e.g., GoofyG28) have already taken delivery of their MTs. California and NY have the same air quality certification standards (California's), so there's no rational reason that 6MTs would be available in California and not NY.

 

He may not be lying about the ability for him to get you one until mid-january. 6MT's are harder to find and the ones coming in MAY have already been spoken for. I'd ask other dealerships...

 

Do you mean the factory-order queue, or just normal deаler allocations? If the latter, muscarel might as well place a factory order and get exactly what s/he wants. I'm operating on the assumption that I would never find a 6MT equipped the way I want in a deаler allocation, and that I will have to factory-order if I decide to buy.

 

I was looking at 6MT for a while, and the dealer told me that they had VERY few until at January or so. He had a total of 1 until December, and someone had ordered that.

 

I don't think he's pulling your leg. Up in NY and the North East in general, they order more X's than anything.

I had to order mine and it won't be in until Jan or Feb. Have him look at the entire country's inventory and they may be able to swap. No one had the combo I wanted so I had no choice.

 

Not lying, dealer told me the same thing today.
Mostly G35x's coming in, and a couple of sport autos.

If that' s the case, the hell with it for the 2007 - I'll wait and order a 2008. I hear it may get an engine upgrade to 3.7L and better brakes. I can keep my 2003 6MT a while longer.

 

if the dealership did not order a 6MT then they are not lying. i got a chance to order 3 6mt's and 1 of them is on the road already in long island
