Anyone find that chrome trunk lip ugly?

So I saw the the '07 G today up close and the interior is amazing. Anyway, when the pics came out for it back in the summer, I thought that chrome lip on the trunk was not going to be on the production model, but I guess I was wrong. Its too short compared to the size of the trunk and Im not a huge chrome fan. Just curious if anyone agrees with me.

I'm not a fan either, but it's not bothering me as much as I expected.

It's not too bad in my opinion.
I had more gripes with the interior than I did over the chrome lip spoiler.

It actually looks kind of nice with the platinum graphite. Not so sure about other colors.

I'm over it. Don't really like it, wish they would get rid of it, but I'm over it.

Fully agree with psteng19. You can tell that Infiniti did give some nice upgrades to various other areas but took away some interior features. Mostly, I noticed that door handles have been really cheaped out, they moved the seat controls to the side of the seat (I really liked them on the top), the back seats have really been cheaped out not comfortable buckets anymore just seem to be a flat bench and non-reclining as well.

Thank God! The seat controls had to be one of the most complained about things with previous models. They were so bad that some people actually had to sell their cars simply because they could not tolerate the controls digging into the side of their hip. There were literally webpages dedicated to bitching about top mounted seat controls. Good riddance.

I disliked the chrome lip when I saw it originally in pictures, but once I saw it in person it didn't look too bad, it does seem to look better with the lighter colors. It does grow on you.
If you were to get the optional spoiler then I think the chrome lip looks very out of place and it would look better painted body color.

As to seat controls, I think that is one of the best things they ever did was to move them, I was one of the people that found the seat controls to be very irritating on long drives. The oil dipstick and seat control locations were my most hated items on my 05. Other than that our 05X has been a fantastic car (oh, how could I forget, the 05X still had brake dust problems since it retained the smaller brakes)

I can hardly wait for our 07.

Initially I was not fond of the chrome spoiler when I saw pictures online. However, it does look decent on lighter colors. I like the way it looks on my car (liq plat).

I agree bat it actually looks pretty good with the LP/PI. It blends in nicely.

I thought from pictures it looked funny, but after seeing it in person when I took a test drive, it doesn't bother me at all, actually adds a touch of class to the car IMO.

Every time I try to close the trunk lid, I find myself pulling down the bottom part of the lid. The lid itself opens WAY too high for me to reach up and touch the chrome lip. And I'm 5'11".

I don't quite get that chrome lip either. It's visual clutter to me. The previous generation G35 got along fine without one and I'm not quite sure what they were trying to accomplish by adding the brightwork. Sure, it's a place to push down on the trunk lid, but it's bound to be a fingerprint magnet, and a handgrip inside the lіd would work just as well. The chrome lip wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me (nor would that side crease that droops and dies over the rear whеel instead of continuing to the taillights) but if I purchase, I would find out how much the deаler's bоdy shоp would charge to paint it in the body color.
