Locking sound?

I forgot to check it out when I was at the dealer but what did Nissan do with the '07 year model in regards to the locking mechanism sound?

Does it still use the car's horn like in most domestic cars (gag), or did they finally include a nice little cool electronic chime like one would find in the Bimmers and Audis?

TIA

If you lock/unlock your car with the button on the door handles it makes a polite beep(one beep to unlock, two beeps when it locks), but if you press the button on the transmitter it makes the obnoxious horn beep.

F' A. I guess I'll stick to the handles when locking the car.

Thanks.

Agreed, using the handle is the easiest way to lock/unlock the doors. I haven't pressed a button on the key fob yet, and didn't even know it uses the horn. The intelligent key is awesome!!

I turn everything off, so there's no horn OR beep when I unlock using either method. When I press the button on the trunk lip, however, the polite "beep" (4 times) is still there. I figure it's a safety thing, to let you know the trunk has been released so you don't drive away with it unlocked.
