Verizon phones and Bluetooth

Hi,

Those of you with Verizon phones and the bluetooth option, this question is for you...

What phones have you got to succesfully download the phonebook to the car.
I have the Moto E815 and it dosent allow for it. Searching the web, it looks like
only the KRZR would support this, not the RAZR.

Would like to hear from actuall success stories though, which phones allow the phonebook download to the car....

EDIT: If you have the RAZR, could you post the firmware, supposedly there is a VZW firmware that might fix the phonebook issue. It the latest firmware available 11-06....Thx.

Thanks
R

I have a Verizon Treo 700w and I had no issues - full Bluetooth integration including phonebook. What would really be nice is the ability to use ActiveSync back to the office so I can at least see my e-mail. This is actually going to be a reality in some BMW/MB/Lexus cars next year as I understand it.

I have the Motorola Q on Verizon and I can download the phonebook, but I have to do it one contact at a time...which can take a while. Also, it downloads the entries last name, first which is annoying.

Assuming that this is the same BT system that the 06' QX56 has, you can add the LG VX8100 from VZ as well. I was able to pair my LG VX8100 to the QX (loaner).

I have the Treo 700W

As long as it is not on my belt when sitting in the car, works a charm, unlike the Treo 700W. Friggin Windows.

I brought to Infiniti's attention that you cannot download your whole phonebook to the G as it says it can and they are working on the bugs on that. other than that it works out well. I can't stand my 06 doesn't show the phone number on the screen

Kenny, any way you can bring it up to them to let us have it download First Name, Last instead of it Last Name, First as it currently does? (at least give us an option).

Hi da mayor,

So from the above post it appears that there can be some sort of firmware/software updates to the system in the future?? I was wondering with such a heavy software based system if there would be updates in the future to address some of the issues.

I would imagine any updates to the system would be need a visit to the dealership, right. (not something you can download and install via CF or CD)

Do you have an inside track with Infiniti? If so can you pass along some other things they can work on for the next update, regarding the audio system!!!

Thanks

well i'm the internet sales manager at Infiniti of Massapequa. I knew about the hard drive going into the '07 G almost a year ago when they were doing a lot of testing on it. you're going to be able to upgrade at the dealership when they fix any software issues they will find on anything from the bluetooth, the voice recognition, etc.
