Reliability information could be much more helpful than it is today. So in late 2005 I started collecting my own data. The focus is on concrete, readily comparable stats like "times in the shop." Results will be updated every three months.

Edit: Didn't get enough cars signed up soon enough to include the 2007 in the late February results. And the response rate so far this month has been far too low to provide results in May. If you signed up to participate, but haven't responded to the survey, please do so. I can only provide results if owners provide the data.

To encourage participation, those who help provide the data will receive full access to the results free of charge.

Up to 8 2007s. Have started collecting data on the car. At the rate owners have been signing up, the odds look good for enough data to provide initial results in late May. The more cars, the more precise the results will be.

With a good response rate, there will be results in May. If I end up with fewer than 20 responses, results for the 2007 G35 will be visible to members only, because they're quite shaky and not "official." If I have 20 or more they'll be visible to the general public.

 

Up to 27. The most I have for any 2007 model is 65, so this is pretty good. But it could be better.

 

Up to 36, but only 9 have responded to the surveys. This is just half the typical response rate.

Hopefully more owners will respond to the survey before the month is over, or I won't be able to provide results for the 2007 G35.

 

So what should I do to provide inputs ??

 

I send an email with encoded links to the survey. I've already sent one email and a couple of follow-ups (to those who didn't respond) so far this month. One more will go out a couple days before the end of the month. Some people (like, well, me) like to wait for the last minute.

 

Do I have to "join" from that website to get the email ??

 

Yes. This is ongoing research, not just a one-time survey like many you'll find online.
