'07 G35x Questions

I've been looking high and low through several websites and I can't seem to get a clear answer on a few questions.

1. Does the G35x come with Paddle Shifters?

2. Is it possible to get some of the high end features of the sport model like the audio system on the G35x?

I'm asking because it either rains or snows where I live, mostly rain though. I think the longest it rained here was over 30 days straight, so having an AWD vehicle would be ideal with 4 doors.

To put it simply, I'd like an AWD G35 with all the features of the Sport model, is that possible? I know this is a dumb question but I need it answered heh.

1. No paddle shifters, nor sport seats, which are available only on the Sport trim level, which is RWD only due to the different suspension and rear diff.

2. Yes. Those "high end features" are part of separate packages - Premium, Navigation, and Tech packages are all available as part of the X, as well as the rosewood. I have a fully decked out G35x, and I can honestly say I'm crazy about it.

No, paddle shifters are only available on the Sport model. As far as the audio system, you can get the Studio on Wheels on a G35x as it is part of the Premium Package. The only thing that you can get on the G35x that is standard equipment on the G35 Sport is the 18" Wheels and Tires......which is labled as an optional Performance Wheel and Tire package. I hope this helps.

So it's possible to get all the packages, Tech, Nav, Premium on the same car?

Wow, I didn't know that.

I thought you could pick one package.

Too bad they don't have paddle shifters for the G35X. It sounds weird, but it's sort of the only thing thats making me debate about buying a G yet.

Nope you can pick all three.....in fact Infiniti would much prefer you to do that!

The paddle shifters are neat having, but I wouldn't let that be the only reason to get a Sport vs. an X.

I would've liked the paddle shifters, but AWD was a must and they were a "nice to have". I wasn't crazy about the sport seats. The felt narrow and I'm only 200lbs, and the extension thing while a good idea didn't seem well executed.

I didn't know you could get the above package for a G35x. It doesn't show as one of the packages available for G35x on the Infiniti.ca website. Is this something all dealers offer now?

I wonder if it's possible to retrofit the paddles.
I know it's done on BMWs.

I would suspect wiring is standard, no matter what model &
the paddles are just switches in parallel to the console MM shifter.

...maybe a future mod possibility

For some reason Infiniti.ca doesn't list the Performance Wheel & Tire package like Infiniti.com does.

One would assume so, but I've never checked since mine Sport already has it. Speaking of the Sport wheels, they are so much nicer in person than in pictures. I thought they were merely OK in pictures, but I really loved them once I saw them in person.
