I recently purchased a Treo 700p and was able to easily connect with the cars bluetooth.

It worked all evening (couldn't dl the address book though) and it is very cool.

The next day however the phone and car wouldn't see eachother although my car is listed in my Treos bluetooth. Says no devices nearby or something.

I thought I should delete the pairing and try it again but the car and phone don't see each other, although a device address is listed in the cars bluetooth.

Any idears?? Is there a way to "re-set" the cars/phones bluetooth and try again?

Has anyone been able to download their phone address book through bluetooth into the car? I have a Blackberry and have never been able to use this feature.

+1 - I think you need OS 4.2 before most of the "real" bluetooth functionality works... I have a 7590 and it only has 4.1 available for it that I've seen, but supposedly the newer models support it (e.g. "The Pearl").

I have a long list of contacts and trying to fuddle with the stupid thumb button to find a number to dial while driving isn't too convenient not to mention not very safe..

I can't do the whole phonebook at once, but I can do an individual contact. I have the Motorola Q.

Same here. I can send one contact at a time but no option of whole phonebook. Problem is if I have time to sit in the car , I'm driving it.
