What car did you come FROM? Upgrade / Downgrade?

I'm curious to see what kind of car people had before getting the '07 G35. Do you see your new car as an upgrade, downgrade, or horizontal move?

Still waiting on delivery myself, but I have had a sort of crazy auto history. My wife and I got married last year and I exchanged my '02 Z06 'Vette for an '06 Honda Odyssey. I don't really need a coupe right now, but I was looking for the right sedan. The Infiniti coupe exterior design has always turned my head and so when I found out the new G35 sedan was here I gave it a test drive.
Maybe I don't really know what a luxurious interior is, but for a car of it's price I found the G35 to be really nice. It strikes a good balance for us between luxury, performance and utility. Personally the only downside is the mileage, but considering the fact that even with the ever spiraling gas prices it is still unlikely to meet the cost of it's competitors we're fine with that.
I'll be very curious when Tesla unveils their sedan however.

I polled all of the Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas dealers, and long story short - only Grubbs in Dallas was willing to deal. North Houston came down a bit after considerable negotiation, but Grubbs' deal was good enough to put me on a plane to Dallas the next day. And I bought after the new Gs had only been out for about three weeks.
Talk to Dave Cotroneo at Grubbs, great guy and he made the deal. Good luck!

My previous car was a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Dream Cruiser Series 2. It was in a brilliant tangerine pearl coat of paint, and has 215hp from its turbo engine.
However, it had some niggling electrical problems, a consistent (?!) overheating problem, went through brakes and tires like crazy.
I just had to let it go after just 3 1/2 years.
I am REALLY HAPPY about my G35x though.

Sold a 1990 Miata and 1992 Pathfinder. My 05 has been great except for average body integrity. My rear windows tick and the suspension has become a bit more creaky on rough roads. When it comes to sell my car there is a good chance I'll buy another G35, I just hope it feels a bit more solid.
