Three years later, same exact answer from me! Well, other than not having the '03 any longer - it was totalled a couple weeks ago by my daughter.

Picking up an '07 in Lakeshore Slate tomorrow. Nav, Prem, etc., non-S, non-X. After having spent a fair bit of time in these over the last week, I'd mark it as a slight upgrade in most every way from the '03.

G8 GT - downgrade in power and some performance (miss the Torsen LSD), big upgrade in interior - handling - the G37 is more nimble. Definite build quality upgrade. I may be slower, and harder to mod, but at least my suspension isn't going to fall apart if I sneeze (G8's are gaining notoriety for having lots+++ of suspension issues). Looks - well, that's a tossup. G8 was a head turner, and I received compliments on that car almost every day for the short time I owned it. Some people went absolutely ape-**** over it. I've had some compliments here adn there on the G37, but nobody follows it around or goes nuts over the design like they did with the G8. It was weird. People went crazy over that car.

From 2000 Dodge Stratus, 4 cyl 2.0, cloth seats, power everything, 85000miles, dead heater, worned out breaks, 2 bare tires . Bought it in 2003 with
20K - no problems for the most part.

Now - 2007 Infiniti G35S, 28K, all packages except technology.

OMG!!! What a difference. There are no words to describe... I have had butterflies in my stomach for 3 weeks after the purchase. I am in love! I call her my girlfriend. I just spent $300 on detailing. Handling, comfort, options - the world seems different when I drive it. Compliment - tons.
