Upgraded from 2000 Infiniti I30, great car, but the G35 is so much better, still driving the '07 Vette & the '08 GT Mustang!

Yes and no. It was a blast to drive and it handled like it was on rails, however I had all kind of problems with it. It was a major reason for getting rid of it.

Just a different ride. Not better just different,

Came from an 06 Nissan Titan SE 2WD. Loved that truck... https://sites.google.com/site/mytitanzeus/

However I got a car that is half the size and the same HP as the truck. Awesome ride!

2007 G35 Sedan - Slate Blue Tan Leather - Navigation, etc.

Cool Z'ed

1st post on site, so "wat up" to everyone. I just got my 07 G35X today and loving it so far. I had an 04 BMW Z4 convertible. I think it was an upgrade but definitely feel like I have lost some of the "wow" factor from the beamer. But the extra 125hp makes me feel a lot better Plus all the tech bonuses are sweet.

Had a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport. 4.0L, 4" lift, 33" tires. It was fun but cost too much to drive anywhere.

Here it for sale in Chicago now... http://www.midwestautocollection.com...dison-Illinois

I dont miss it yet, but I'm sure I will once the snow flies.

From:

2001 supercharged Saleen with a full road race suspension

to

2007 G35S

Downgrade as far as handling and power, but major upgrade as far as comfort and road manners

i had one as well. the only way to have a nice rx7 and have a fast rx7 at the same time is to have lots of money lots of free time and three engines (assuming you keep the rotory) 1 in the car, 1 waiting to go in the car once the first one blows and one getting rebuilt.

they are a fun little toy, but i got tired of swapping motors all the time so i put an ls1 in mine and sold it

I bought a 2005 Lexus ES330 about 2 years ago but I never really like it all that much. It was all luxury on the inside but a boat on the outside and it drove like you were floating on a cloud. Slow hesitant acceleration, loose turning, completely quiet, in a word BORING. After letting my wife upgrade her Xterra to a Tahoe I told her I wanted to get something smaller and sportier. Her only requirement was that I get a sedan, it couldn't be a coupe because we have a baby in a car seat. After driving a BMW 335i, Audi A4, Acura TL, Acura TSX, and a Cadillac CTS I finally discovered a 2008 G35 Journey. It handles just as well and is faster than the BMW with interior quality somewhere between the BMW and the Lexus I was trading in. So far I'm ecstatic with my purchase.

I upgraded from a 2007 Lexus ES350 (still have that car) and I completely agree with your post. The Lexus has no soul, and it rides like a cloud. It's good for people who just want luxury and no sport. Even the interior felt cheaper than previous gen Lexus ES's. The car has terrible handling, and produced a lot of torque steer. The only thing I like about that car are that the seats are very soft and supple. It also did badly in the snow (for a front wheel drive vehicle), and there was no option to turn off VSC (vehicle skid control). That meant if your car was stuck in the snow, your car won't turn the wheels because it detects slippage.
