nice... cause we all know how productive that is. you drive every car differently to there abilities.... when driven to the limit the cobalt is faster around a track than a g35 simple as that.

Put an equally matched driver behind the wheel of those vettes/mustangs and that cobalt ss will get smoked.

The G35 is not set up for the track. It's a GT (in Coupe form).

I'll put a stock 350Z against a Cobalt SS on any track with an equal driver behind the wheel in each, and watch the souped-up econobox get walked all over every time.

FWD is just a poor starting setup for any performance car, but you can fix anything given enough money and effort--I give you Ken Block's For Fiesta Rally car as a prime example.

thats why my post earlier was very valid, its equal drivers on a great track and the cobalt beats the z... check out my nurburgring list cobalt ss #117, 350z #131. if im not mistaken the cobalt beats the z by 4 seconds a lap.

yes fwd is wrong and its not a good platform to start from but no matter how you slice and dice it the cobalt is a great track car ( not so good a 1/4 mile car ) and it is faster than the z, which is faster than the g coupe, which is faster than my g35x.... so when i said in my initial post that the cobalt outperforms the g i was correct.... and everyone in here crying about it can look at the facts.

I love how some people get offended by someone saying the cobalt does better on the track than some "proper" sport cars. There are few cars with FWD and leave some of the RWD sport cars in the dust on the track.

Would I but one cobalt no, do I respect the #'s they are putting down. Absolutely.

Hope some of the car companies realize this and they put there **** together and make their products better.

I "technically" upgraded from a '95 Camry with 300k miles to my '07 G35s but I really still drive the Camry. The G was a purchase for my wife, which she upgraded from a 2002 Mazda 626 (which was a POS) that I sold. As a result we decided to go for the G35 and that's her car so whether its me or her, we basically upgraded from a crappy Camry or a sucky 626 to the G35 and we LOVE it
