Chitown Baby!!!

I would consider my 08 G35xS (just purchased her 2 weeks ago) is an upgrade from my '00 BMW 323i. With all things considered, the old Euro is still kicking strong with 173K miles on her. However, she is rapidly declining as I've recently had the trans rebuilt (ouch, I know) and a new fuel pump installed. Needless to say a ton of money dropped on repairs as of late.

 

Nice. I am in Chicago as well. Just picked up my IP 2008 G35xS Tuesday last week.

 

What's up homie! So were both newbies here? Yeah man, my wife thinks I love the new G more than her....hahah.

I havent decided what I am going to do to my car yet. Will most likely keep it mostly stock for a while...but then again I say that now, but it will likely change.

So far the G35 is best of the bunch, but in a different way. I wanted a four dour luxury sedan with leather and moon roof with a manual. So far it lives up to all of my expectations and more. Except for lack of NAV, but every cell has a NAV app. I looked @ a BMW 545I 6 speed, but am happy I passed I was worried about reliability. Actually it was sold while hammering out the details with dealer. didn't test drive. But was also looking @ Acura TL,TSX, Subaru WRX, VW GTI, MAZDASPEED 3.
I recently helped my parents purchase a certified 08 Acura TL with NAV. Although very happy with their purchase they both like my G35 and asked if I was willing to trade. plus I paid 4,000 less for roughly the same mileage.

I did a sizeable upgrade (nowhere near as big as that last one ^^) from a 2001 BMW 330ci Convertible! The only thing I miss about it is the convertible roof part!!

My G definitely handles better and is WAYYY more powerful than the 330ci!!
