Maybe Infiniti should revise the gauges like this...

I played around with the 07 Gauges really quickly in PS CS2; I gave it an all blue/white uniform, which imo, looks a ton better.

I ran into some trouble with the center display in between the gauges, but didnt really bother on fixing it or making it better.

What do you guys think?

I did it with Photoshop.

Im sure it's possible.

Your just gonna need to access the bulbs/LEDs and swap them... which I have no idea how to do .

You could try asking AccordFreak; I've seen some of his work and, wow, it's really technical and has great results.

I think the guages are beautiful as they are, but those are even better.

Thats exactly the way I feel...

I just tried to improve on something that was already really good looking.

Looks hot. I'm so envious of the new Sedan's gauges. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the gauge color scheme inside the Acura TL too?

The reason car makers use that orange/red hue is that it doesn't cause your eyes to dilate.

Although I have to admit this looks sharp.

The problem with replacing the centerpiece is that I believe it's a VFD, or vacuum fluorescent display, not a LCD, very reminiscent of the multifunction displays in older MBs. Therefore you couldn't just replace the backlighting, but I'm sure an enterprising soul could figure out Nissan's supplier and dig up a blue variant of the display (blue VFDs do exist, and it's possible there is one).

Have fun with the soldering through! : )

And yes, bloody sexy - however there is that whole thing about eyes dilating. But considering the nav screen is all sorts of rainbow pain in the middle of the night, I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'll admit that I love the idea of an all blue/white combo, but now that I see it in your pic, I'm kinda glad we have it the way we do. The all blue/white seems a little bland. The red/violet/white combo now has enough contrast that it stands out well.

Well, I got the idea after seeing the Gauges in the Lexus GS430, so im sure it really isnt a big isssue. Otherwise, Lexus would have also added a bit of contrast there too with some orange.

I wish that the multifunction display would show a bit more information at the same time. They take up a lot of space just to show one thing. I'd like to be able to see outside temp, and maybe MPG or distance to empty, etc, all at once. A pain to cycle through them.
