G35s in snow?
G35s in snow?
How bad is to drive the G35S (RWD) in snow?
thinking going to ski in Sierra but wonder how reliable is to drive the G on a snowy hilly road?
(never driven RWD in snow before...)

It's not the RWD that makes it a death trap, it's the high performance SUMMER tires that will kill you (no pun intended).
Get yourself a good set of snow tires, or A/S at the very least and you should be ok.

Agree 100%. I grew up in Central NH driving winters and am amazed by people who told me when I had my Z down here that "Jesus, dont leave the driveway in the winter you'll get killed in RWD." You strap a set of top of the line winter tires to that car and I could get just about anywhere a regular car or truck would. Its about being smart, watching your torque (IE dont gun it through the corners) and driving slowwwwwer than you normally would.
Throw some snows on there and you'll be fine. Frankly I dont worry about myself, I worry about all the soccer moms and dads who buy a huge SUV to protect their kids, never learn how to drive it, think they can drive anywhere at any speed because they own an SUV - and end up on the side of the road. My wife drives an FX and loves it, but she's also a great driver.

if you know what you're doing, gunning it through corners in the snow with winter tires is alot of fun
.
I did it all the time in my Lexus IS300.

i've been driving in the snow before since i was living in the east coast (near buffalo) for 10 years so it's not a problem for me to drive in the snow.. i'm just never driven a RWD in the snow condition though...
i guess i'm not taking the G to Sierra then..
thx for all the inputs

i have a question. i live in Sacramento and will buy an 08 coupe. it doesn't snow here at all, but if i were to take a weekend skiing trip to Lake Tahoe during snow, would chains on the rear tires be sufficient?
i'm currently driving a FWD 4-banger '99 Accord. last winter the GF and i drove up to tahoe, but it hadn't snowed in a few days and there were no chain req's so we were fine.
just curious, because here you can leave high performance tires on year round as it only rains b/w Nov and Feb. i am from south Louisiana and am quite proficient in driving in heavy rain, so i'm not at all worried about driving in rain here on Falkens.
