Hardwire Valentine 1 install?

Has anyone done a hardwire V1 install on a 2007 sedan yet? Someone had posted a link to a nice custom mount that I think can be used
http://www.countryjoycrafts.com/Conn...arDetector.htm
but I'm trying to figure out the best switched power source to tap.

Thanks in advance.

I used www.invisicord.com.. Mike's Mount from my 04 Coupe will not fit the stem if does anyone know if the another model mount will work?

Ivisicord is the easiest way to hardwire the radar though, takes about 2 min

I wired mine in the first weekend I had the car. It's amazing how fast I'm getting. Mine is using the suction cups to the left of my rearview mirror. I then ran the wire down the A piller into the fuse box and tapped in there.

Those are some HUGE mounts. Not sure why you'd want to put something that obvious on the car. Mine is barely visible from out side the car.

+1, except that my wire runs into the mirror and out from there.

i used the A pillar as well, its not hard at all. and you tuck the wire in the rubber.

Thanks for the link, I just ordered the invisicord. Regarding an alternate mount to the "Mike's Mount" see the link I included in my original post. I measured the mirror stem and the '07 G35 needs the 0.9 in (23mm) mount; ordered one this morning.

Thanks for the reply, I decided to go with the invisicord. I had my V1 hardwired with a long cord going down the A-pillar in my last two cars, but it seems like tapping the mirror power is more straightforward.

Regarding the size of the mount, I agree it looks a little bulky, but I'm done with hassle of the suction cups and having to remove and reposition everytime I clean the interior of my windshield. Plus in really hot / humid weather my suction cup mounts never seem to stay fixed in place.

I used 8" invisicord and have my x50 right to the left of my mirror with the top of the detector right at the tint line and the suction on the tint. Came out really clean.

Here's some pics on the 07. I moved the mirror so I didn't have to stare at myself in the pic. When the mirror is adjusted properly it just about touches the side of the mirror, no huge gap like the picture shows.

Since I tinted my windshield, I have approx a 3 inch tint/visor at the very top of the windshield so I was able to place the radar right underneath it. Unless you actively look for it, it's impossible to see.

For hardwiring through the A-pillar, where do you hide the wire?

Was the invisicord easy to install?

invisicord is hella easy to install. there are instructions either on here or on their website i think.
here's an advanced install:
http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.p...ighlight=acree
the concealed display right into the rear view mirror.
