I only run 93 or higher when available. You can get 100 octane but Y FL.

I usually go to Mobil, Sunoco, or Hess and use 93 octane only. According to my navi, it said I had 2mi til the tank was empty, so I pulled into a gas station that had 86, 88, and 91. I felt uncomfortable at the place, who the eff has 86 octane? So I drove about a mile down the road and got some 93 and I was set.

One of the gas stations at my work sells 110 and 112 at the pump, but I don't want my O2 sensors to $hit the bed, nor any other problems that are involved with leaded race fuel.

On the question of why both 91 and 93 are in the manual re recommended octanes, I got the following partial reply from Infiniti Canada:

Infiniti Canada does recommend premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91.

We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond.

Sincerely,

Infiniti Canada Inc.

I used to use 93 octane. Then I read in another thread on these forums that the car's compression ratio doesn't allow it to make use of the extra 2 octane in 93 octane, and so essentially there's no benefit to me in using it. I save about $0.06-$0.10 gallon this way, by buying 91 instead of 93.

PS, this is for my Coupe

We only get 91 as premium. That's what the G drinks, there are a couple gas stations that have VP 101, But I use that in my Subi( I have a Utec to switch fuel maps).
