Since I don't drive my G in the Canadian winter months-What are some guidelines on the frequency of starting the car in a non heated garage & how long does the car have to sit before its deemed necessary to fire it up and how long should it idle for - is it also necessary to add fuel additives etc

thnx!

Fuel is good for 6 months.
No need to start it. In fact short runs cause more problems by leaving moisture in engine and exhaust system.
Fill it up with fuel. This reduces moisture in the tank
Over inflate the tires to avoid flat spots.
Get a battery tender and keep it on. This will keep the battery charged without over-charging.
Some put their cars on jack stands to take strain off suspension components.. but this is not necessary

I agree with the above, however if you do start it run it long enough for the engine to come to full temp and that will avoid the moisture.

Putting in some gas stablizer doesn't hurt.

Also it is recommended to change the oil just before putting it away.

Last watch for the mice.
