When I was car shopping, my choices were (in order) Acura TL S-Type, Lexus ES 350, Infiniti G35x. Test drove the Acura first. Didn't care much for the FWD. Next was the G. I was hooked. Didn't really want to test drive the Lexus, but I did anyway. The Acura and Infiniti changed positions in my order.

the southbay dealership has 4 2007 loaners on hand. as a matter of fact i test drove that first!

 

acutally i have 3 at my dealership that are for loaners, there not sports but there are journey pre cars, i love to see the look on there faces as they drop of the 07 g35 and then pick up there 03-06 g35s i dont think that not one of them has been blown away..

 

im in the market for a sport sedan. 27-35k.
test drove the following TSX, TL-S, 328i coupe, is250 & G35s. all 2007 6MT.

07 G35S 6mt : the moment i sat in the car, first imprression was "wooww, nice" the cockpit is more driver oriented than the acura and has a sporty feel to it. marterial is top-notch i'd put it below lexus IS and close to TL-S. like the steering wheel of the G most out of the IS TLS and TSX. very good interior overall. plenty of room in the back no air vents in the back though.

the testdrive was a blast. great suspension, very solid, steady, sporty not too stiff. To me the TL-S and IS seem a bit more bumpy......this car handles great as all of u know. when i was on the way to take the freeway back to the dealership, the sales guy goes "why don't we go that way" pointing to the twisties in los gato hills, i was smiling the whole way. after the testdrive, FWD no more.

only turnoff was the major clutch vibration >5k RPM.

overall, G35 is my top pick.

looking for blue slate/white/black with black interior 6MT right now...

Must be only the S with no vents in the back. I know the X has rear vents.

 

I believe the MT does not have the rear vents.

 

Correct. The S AT does have the rear vents coming out of the console.
