335i is the besst u can get out of all this.
dont settle for anything less then a bmw 335i.
i got my share of infiniti problems.
screw them and their 08coupe production design model.
im gona switch to 335i in about a year.

i got a G like the rest of u
not saying i hate my G but me and her dont have the flame going on anymore.
just my share of bad infiniti services like dominiko here made me get inbed with bmw instead.

and about my 08Gcoupe comment. i meant i dint like the production design, they shoulda kept close to the concept design cause i was so sure i would pick that over the 335i coupe instead. but they gona made a buubu with the production cars.

Nissan needs to revoke a few franchises and this kind of crap would stop. These kind of dealers hurt all dealers because they give the brand a bad name.

When people read stuff like this they start wondering if Nissan/Infiniti can't police it's dealers any better than this then the company as a whole must have some problems.

Gunner, you are so right. My purchase at Gunn Infiniti (heh, Gunn?) in San Antonio was the BEST ever. I will go back to them again.

When you really look at it it's not about the brand of car or even the dealership. It really all comes down to the individual at the dealership you work with. Everything us is just the topping of the cake.

I've had dealerships that I bought cars from every year dealing with the same sales person. In every case when that salesperson left the delaership and I had to deal with a new guy all the deals started to go south, trust went out the window and that what it's all about "trust".

In my case what was funny is the salesman I dealt with for my G who was super went from sales to being a service writer at the same dealership because believe it or not the job paid more. So now when I need service it's the same guy I bought my car from.

In this case the GM had any ***** would fire that Salesman he's not to be "trusted" and is doing the dealership a disservice.

Holy Shat, Bro!! I cannot fathom how incredibly frustrated and pissed you must be by now! All I can say is, if you decide to get the G from that dealer, DO NOT settle for anything less than what you originally agreed upon.

Good Luck and please keep us updated on what happens! I'm curious to see what happens after CA gets involved.

Don't dis-credit the car because some A-hole gave you a bad deal. I don't blame you for being pissed off.. But its one or two individuals that are responsible.. not Infiniti..
I went to one infiniti dealer who actually had a better price, but I got lied to so many times and never got a call returned, etc.
They called and said they had the car for me. They gave me the bottom line on the price.. then I considered it. He calls back later and tells me its a journey and not the sport. He says its the same thing.. they can change out the wheels.. So I said what about the limited slip diff, sports seats, etc...
no response.. idiots just trying to move a car no matter what it takes.
I ended up getting a better deal from the first place. It was almost 2 grand less then the idiots who claimed invoice pricing.
Good luck in getting this resolved.

You need to inform Nissan corporate that those jackasses have pushed you to the point of no return. They do need to have their dealership revoked, or to suffer some penalty for their total lack of professionalism regarding your deal.

Even if you get nothing out of it because you are going to BMW, THEY NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS.

And who knows. They may offer you a Vito Corleone deal (one you can't refuse) to make it right and salvage the good name of Infiniti.

As I posted earlier, Nissan has always been obsessive about customer feedback over the last 10 years I have owned one. I can't believe corporate knows this kind of s*** is going on and would not respond to it in a very customer-friendly manner.

Good luck...

A lot of people will probably disagree with me but.....I wasnt too impressed with the 335I. Of the G, Lexus IS, and 335i I test drove, I put the 335 at the bottom of the list in my opinion. Heres why:

1) Tiny. Feels like a honda civic inside and out (space wise). I swear my old nissan sentra from college felt roomier. I know dimension wise on paper the G dosent look much bigger, but the G feels like a midsize car inside. THe 335 feels like a subcompact.
2) Turbo Lag. I keep hearing its not there. But every time I stepped on the gas it would sputter and lag for a bit before the power came rushing on. The salesman was like "um...its cold or something...needs to warm up". But througout the whole drive it kept doing it.
3) Didnt feel any faster or feel like it handled amazingly different then the G. The G provides in my opinion a better feeling of speed even if its slightly slower. Although you can chip the 335 for 1200 bucks and get close to 400hp. Still, stock to stock didnt feel much different.
4) BMW's track record of electrical problems. I dont want my car to be in the shop 60% of the time while I drive a rental. My buddy just went through this with a bmw AND a mb, and has sworn off german cars for good. They just cant get it right.

For me its just not good enough of a car to warrent the huge difference in price, especially when you factor in the fact that its not, imo, a better car.

See, and I thought you were all powerful. That's it, I want a new salesman. Can't believe you couldn't drive the ship here and get me a Sedan w/ Nav and Sirius!!!!

J/K bro....you know we're cool and the wait for the car is gonna make it that much sweeter once I get it.

Domiken,

I emailed the dealership about your situation. I pointed them to this thread and gave them the whole "welcome to the internet" riff. Here is my email:

I hope you know that one of your salespeople is jerking around the wrong person and your dealership is going to lose business because of it:

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137284

Is this really the way you want your business to be perceived? These postings go to dozens of car forums and are read by many thousands of people within HOURS. You can rest assured that some of them are in your sales territory. Customers increasingly use the internet to make informed buying decisions, and you well know that others' experiences, either good or bad, will figure into that equation. In your case, the experience has been dismal and (un)fortunately you have competition.

My advice? Quit giving this guy the runaround and sell the car you agreed to at the price you agreed to ASAP. As a service to other buyers, I'm going to request that the customer post the saleman's name so that he can be avoided with extreme prejudice. Perhaps loss of income will bring home the message that your dealership is apparently unwilling to send.

Bottom line: Customers expect more from an Infiniti dealer than the typical high pressure, bait-and-switch BS. Good lucking spinning this one!
Anyway, this is the reply I received:

I appreciate your e-mail. I checked out the link and was unable to obtain any information. The only way I will be able to help him is if I have his name. I also am not sure who he is referring to in terms of the GM's brother-in-law. I have known the GM for 16 years and he does not have a brother-in-law who works here. We only have one GM for all of our stores. Perhaps it is the sales manager's brother-in-law, but again, I am unaware of any of his family working here either. In other words, I cannot even discuss this with the salesperson because I do not know who it could be. I would gladly try to help this individual if I had some information. You can have him contact me directly if he would like to discuss this. Even if he does not want to buy the car now, I would be interested in speaking with him about his experience.

Sincerely,
Peggy Sloan

Give her a call. Maybe she can help you out, or at least take a giant s**t on the salesman who caused you all this grief.

This "whatever gets them out the door" mentality will not get you repeat buisness. A good Dealership is worth it's weight in gold.
I don't know Kenny, but from what I read, he seems very upfront and honest with his customers (Keep it up, Kenny ). You couldn't have said it any better, Tex. Honesty, even if it isn't exactly what the customer wants to hear, gives you a better chance of repeat business than deception. You're right, there aren't enough salesmen (not just car salesmen) that use truth as their greatest weapon. They think their customers aren't educated and they try to pull fast ones. That isn't smart in this age of the internet, etc...chances are the customers knows just as much or more than the salesmen.
