Talking New Owner Here - '07 G35x Premium

Damn! I love this car! Just bought it about 2.5 hours ago & man was the drive hope enjoyable

I got it for $400 over invoice - Premium, auto tranny, cargo net + free all-weather mats

I traded an '04 WRX auto with about $52k miles.

I gotta give a shout out to Anthony Saldana @ Infiniti of Lisle, IL where I bought the car - easiest most painless car purchase I ever made If you're in the Chicago area & want an Infiniti, go see Tony. He's a straight shooter & extremely easy to work with. He knows how it's done. I was fully pre-pared to go in there to do battle, they gave me exactly what I wanted & a good price for my trade.

What a difference from the WRX! It's funny, driving home from the dealer, I was accellerating too hard off the line & the car was leaping of the line It's been a while since I've had a car with this much power. I used to be strictly into sports cars when I was younger, but now that I'm older (40), I've come to appreciate a certain amount of luxury, space, & functionality in my cars. This is my 1st Nissan product (always thought it would be a 350Z) and hope I have it for a LOOOOOOONG time!

My previous rides in order:
- '89 Subaru XT GL
- '96 Mustang GT
- '98 Camaro Z28
- '01 Eclipse GT
- '99 Corvette
- '03 Accord Coupe (Boooooorrrrrring!)
- '01 Mustang GT
- '04 WRX

BTW, this is a great forum & I learned lost of useful info lurking here for about 2 months before I decided to "join the club" today.
Can't wait to go to the movies tomorrow - the drive there & back will be the best part

Thanks GarnetCanuck, you've got a great looking ride with that color. Dealer I bought from had 1 of those (they're kind of rare in Red around Chicago) but I didn't want to draw even more attention to myself (I tend to drive pretty aggressively sometimes).

Thanks Vlad. GE seems to be an uncommon color so far (which is fine by me). IP was a very strong candidate when I ordered, but I wasn't able to get graphite interior. PG is a very nice color as well......heck all the colors available on the G are nice!

Wow! You got a great deal! Congratulations! You've had quite a collection of cars. Seems your first Subaru lasted a long time, while the others much shorter.

Congratulations on your purchase! The new G is truly a great car. BTW, I bought my Sport AT with Premium, Nav, and splashguards at Infiniti of Lisle and have been extremely happy with them. The salespeople there are very good to deal with and the customer service is great (consistent with many reports I'd heard prior to purchase).

Vlad, did Infiniti/Lisle seem able to get their hands on alternate inventory?
They say they are the largest Infiniti dealer in the midwest, but they don't have a single G35x with Tech. Also, their high end cars are only available in black it seems...

Looking to buy a G35x this week, but want Premium/Nav/Tech. From checking online inventories, there are only 2 within 100 miles of Chicago (and none in st louis).

Of course, those 2 are not the colors I want

Even if I find it, have a bad feeling the dealer will try to rake me over the coals, as they are scarce.

I travel all over the country for work, so am willing to drive it back, but there are limits to how far I'll drive
