dumb question... but how are you supposed to open the trunk??

there is no handle or good place to grab.

you can pop it and slide your fingers (barely) under the lip of the trunk... or ou can push up on the wing (if you have one), but you probably shouldn't.... you can push against and up at hte same tim eon the back of the trunk...

they include a nice indent for easy closing on the inside, but what about OPENING??

I usually do it buy under the trunk. I wouldn't do it by our spoiler because of the risk of breaking it or something.

Lol, true, true. But it's better than breaking the spoiler! Also, I sometimes try to get a grip on the chrome strip. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Do you have the intelligent key? all you have to do is to press the button. Trunk shifts up about an inch then use your hand to lift the trunk by holding the chrome part. To close the trunk there is a handle inside of the trunk lid. you can pull on it to close it. it is located on the right hand side.

i have the intelligent key, yes.. .but the amount of space it pops up is practically nothing. using the painted lip is not ideal...

I just put my hand on the trunk and open it.

It's a piece of a car, not the bosses wife....

You painted the Chrome part? I did not know. I use the chrome part to lift the trunk.

I just stick my hand in the slight opening you get ... I guess you could say that's my one complaint about the car that it doesn't pop open like 3 inches

Exactly. People need to put things in to perspective sometimes. Ohhh, I got a fingerprint on my car, whatever shall I do!

I use the button on the lip with my thumb and just keep lifting, works good for me. Even if I pop it with the key or button inside I'll lift using the button on the lip.

I would be careful applying that much pressure on the button to lift the trunk. I don't think that button was designed to sustain that much pressure. You may put some damage on it on the long run.

i'm not so worried about fingerprints as much as a good place for leverage...

perhaps i have large hands, but going under the lip is nto the easiest.. ESPECIALLY with gloves

Why dont you just lift up at the Infiniti logo? Not hard to get fingers in there.
