RPMs in the morning
The manual doesn't state what the RPM should be when started, but it does say that it will be "high". The following is from the manual:
"Cold engine idle speed is high, so use
caution when shifting into a forward or
reverse gear before the engine has
warmed up."

I did notice the one time I did not wait to let it warm up and I put the car in reverse, it defenitely snapped the car and reverse speed was very fast.
Thanks

Mine starts up @ 1600 and then comes down to ~850 once it's warm. (I had the dealer turn it up a few hundred for my flywheel) As for the 2k, that sounds normal if it's cold enough. Mornings in Phoenix are still ~50 these days.
Mine starts up at ~2200 RPMs, then I let my foot off the clutch and it drops to ~1900. It doesn't take more then about 10-15 seconds to get to about 900 or so. That's pretty much the amount of time it takes me to fiddle with sunglasses and other stuff.
