Is there any way to update the version of gracenote on our cars? I tried to upload 2 newer CDs (released in 06) and it couldn't find any information on either.

I'm pretty disappointed with the gracenote feature so far.

Anyone else have issues?

That's great for a quick fix, but it will get really frustrating after a years when lots of music is not coming up. It would be nice to load a new internal database on our own, or at least from the dealer during service.

Thanks for pointing out the fix to update gracenote.

Even microsoft media player has a link to a database (I think it's AOL?)
Or use iTunes..
But it'll always be best to add the song data with a live internet connection.
So label it before you copy it over.
HTH.

You can also manually change the artist, album, and track info with the touchscreen keypad. I did that with one album, but it was painfully slow.

I cant even get the upgrade to work, i cant get past step 4 because that option is never lit up, its dim like the "deleted items" is in the picture. Anyone know how to resolve this? I posted this question seperately with NO help. Any thoughts?

Are you trying to get into the menu option while the car is moving? Are these CDs that you recorded into the musicbox commercially produced or discs that you burned with your computer from MP3s? As far as I know the option to search missing titles only appears when titles are infact missing based on the disc's table of contents.
