Trip to the dealer

So I went to Austin of Infiniti today to look closely at the grille because of so many complaints that it is easily chipped...and parked right next to the G35S was a TL type-S with upgraded wheels and tints.

The G's grille was indeed flimsy and cheap, but I did not see any noticeable chips yet (might be totally new). But, the TL's sportiness blew me away. Now, because of this grille fiasco and the fact that the '07 G hasn't been crash-tested, I'm even more unsure of the decision I have to make in two months.

Because this one had the upgraded tires (18" sport)...the standard type-s rims are only 17" and IMO ugly.

The 07 G has been crash tested by the IIHS. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=751

You should test drive both of them and buy the one you like. The G looks much better than the Acura in my opinion.

My opinion as well. Test drive them. But the G is a much more technologically advanced sedan. It also looks alot sportier in any color but that one (just my opinion, don't get mad) and with the spoiler.

The TL is not a true sport sedan

Real performance cars are not FWD!

FWD sucks.

IMO, it doesn't matter what the TL looks like, how much HP, how great the interior is...it is FWD.

RWD is not about doing donuts

FWD cars have tortured front tires that must steer and lay down power. They tend to have poor weight distribution that leads to front-heavy, understeering handling, as well as poor steering feel.

I have 2 RWD cars and 1 FWD. IMO, FWD is completely unsatisfying to drive in almost all conditions. In snow (in relatively flat areas), I'd say front and rear drive are pretty comparable.

Yes, but people don't buy sport cars to go up hill or in snow.

The first time you are going sideways, counter steering with the throttle wide open on the on ramp to the freeway. You'll know you made the right choice.
