and I am a nervous wreck! How pathetic is that? I am so nervous the drop is going to be too much for my liking. If it is, I can and will get it sorted out, so, I guess I shouldnt worry about that. Of course, I am also worried they are going to screw something up.
I was considering letting the car sit for a day or 2 to let the springs settle before getting the alignment, but I think I might drop it off for the alignment immediately after getting it from the installers. The weather is supposed to be nice, and I want to drive her!

Springs are usually pretty stable. Its the bushings that settle. You have to drive it around normally. And get the alignment done ASAP. The difference in height after "settling" is neglegible with quality springs.Originally Posted by hokiesean24

Yeah, I am going to drop it off immediatly for the alignment. Get it all take care of today. I should be headed to pick it up in a few! Can't wait to see it!

It's probably too late to take before and after measurements to determine what the actual drop is (since that has never been done using H&R springs).
Take after measuremets and we'll compare the numbers with what is in the service manual to see what the estimated drop is. I'm pretty sure it will be the same as with the Eibach springs.
The wheels are ready to go, but mfr I am working with wants the suspension to be perfect before we attempt to stuff 285s back there ... the waiting is killin' me.

OK, I JUST picked my car up and drove it to the Alignment shop (it drove much better than I expected, didn't notice anything different). I am still a little unsure about the drop... I think the front looks great, but the rear is a litttle low for my taste. I will be postsing pics later this evening when I get it back, cleaned a little (maybe), and have a chance to take a few. Just out of curiousity (for now), could I put different springs on the rear and keep the H&Rs on the front? For instance, could I bring the rear back up a little using the stock 350Z springs and keep the H&Rs on the front? Is this not advisable???

I was looking around in the market place, there seem to be some 350Z Springs available. You think it would cause any problems swapping those rears out?

I was looking at possibly doing the H&Rs with the help of my brother, he races anything with wheels, so he is much more mechanically inclined than I am. He also has all the tools (except a spring compressor). So, the rears we could handle, its the fronts I would have to drop installation money on if I were to change them again...I just talked to the guy at the alignment shop... its done and ready. He said the front is about 2 degrees out of spec and the rear is about 1 degree out. How much of a problem is that going to be?!?!

I had a feeling from what your impressions were about the H&R drop that you may find it too low. Glad to hear that you like it overall, though(kinda?).
I think that going with the Coupe/Z springs shouldn't cause any problems, although I think any manufacturers spring sets are designed to work as a set, not to be mixed and matched with other types of springs.
That being said, if your main concern is strictly cosmetic, just to level out the looks of your car for appearances sake, then, yes, you could swap out just the rears so that it would 'look' right with neglible differences in feel or performance, but if you want to be confident that your sus is working optimally with the properly matched springs front and rear(aftermarket car parts companies/spring manufacturers don't r&d these things extensively for nothing), then i'd suggest either sell the H&R's and get the milder Eibach set or go all OEM coupe/Z springs for an even milder all around drop.
From what I've seen so far, the order of mild to extreme drops so far is ~
1) OEM Coupe/Z springs
2) Eibach
3) H&R's
4) Airbags
Yet to be seen are Tein H and S Techs(most likely will fall between Eibach and H&R), Espelir Low Down Springs(extreme drop used mostly by VIP sedan modders in Japan), and maybe Tanabe, HKS and Greddy(the last 2 more likely to be for coupes).
Keep us posted on what you ultimately end up with.
