What grounding point for Passport smart cord?

So I’m planning to go the same route with my Escort Passport 8500 and hard-wire it to the fuse box (using the Escort smart cord). Can someone tell me what grounding point he used? In my coupe, I used the anchoring screw that holds the dead pedal. If possible I would like to use something else – something, which will not require me to rip anything out of place.

Thanks.

Just about any bare metal spot should do....
Should be something arround the fuse box

^+1 find an existing screw or a hole you can tap a metal screw into. A touch of sandpaper if need be.

Don't start with me and the inviscord!

Nah, I want to use the smart cord so I can use the remote silencer.

Now come on guys. I need something better than just "any bare metal"

I was hoping to hear about a specific location. In the coupe there is nothing around the fuse box so I had to rip the dead pedal out and use the anchoring screw.

I hooked my x8500 to one of the steering column plate bolts. But those need a bigger connector end than the ones that came with the escort hard wire.
