Thinking about getting a G35

So I have been shopping around for a car to replace my wonderful(not) 1997 buick Skylark. After test driving the G35, I fell in love. I am going to hold off for a couple of months, but the dealer told me that they could sell me their Demo car at a hefty discount, and it is optioned exactly how I want it. The only thing is, I know that they Demo cars are dirven really hard. What do you guys think? I was thinking if I went with the Demo I would negotiate a extended warranty into the deal. Currently, the Demo car has 4500 miles on it.

I was very easy on the car I test drove. Who am I kidding?!?!

If I were you, I would negotiate a HECK of deal for a demo with 4500 on it. I would also ask the dealer to show you the maintenance that was done on this car. If they didn't at least do the 3750 mile maintenance, I would walk away. Do NOT take their word for it. See the paperwork. With that said, the G is such a well built car. I also think that the engine can take a LOT of punishment as long as it's well cared for.

Yeah, I would not be too worried about 4500 miles on a brand new car of this calibur regardless of how hard it was driven.... If they give you a deal that is the only way your going to get your butt into a new G NOW and they can show that did the required maitenance, post your pics when you buy it!

OH, and if the grill is chipped, make them replace it and send the chipped one to corporate!! Seriously though, check the grill and make them do it!

If you're looking for a great car at a lower cost that is definately the way to go. No matter how hard I drive the loaner, I still don't hurt it in anyway. If they give you a $35+ car for under $30, that a great deal. Just look it over and make sure you get whatever you can off for every little mark!! Good luck.

Sounds like a good enough deal to me if you can get it for less than $30k. I wonder how much less they are talking?

hokiesean24, are you being sarcastic? Sorry, I am new to this forum, so I don't know if Moose is wise or not...

You should start your negotiations at 1 dollar UNDER dealer invoice for every mile it has on it. Doesn't hurt to start with a lowball offer.

I purchased an Infiniti Elite extended warranty 7 year/100K/ 0 deductible. I negotiated it to $1600, but someone else here said they got $1200. See if you can get them to make it a 104.5K warranty because of the miles already on it.

By the way, I test drove and negotiated with both Pleasanton and Concord dealers and they were both very professional and easy to work with. Ended up buying at Concord (Niello Infiniti as it was the closest to me and where I will service). I would've gotten the same $650 over invoice deal at Pleasanton as well.

Buy one now. I just got mine a few days ago, and it has blown me away.

Another bump for Niello in Concord if you are in the bay area. They absolute best buying experience I have had in my 34 years. Pain free, no haggle, great people.

Don't know. I personally wouldn't touch a demo with a 10ft pole. I know how I drove that sucker. Multiply me with another 250 people that drove it like they stole it....

...thanks but no thanks...
