For those of you who had to order your G, were you given a date which lands on a Friday???

I'm waiting for delivery and I was told it would be "The week of March 30".
I thought that was odd, being a Friday but that's all they could tell me.

I know of someone in another forum who was told the week of April 6.

Anyway... for those who ordered, was your date accurate or did it come in early or late?

I'm dying here.
I'm like a kid who has to endure Christmas Eve every day,and I never get my toys on XMas morning.
It's like an evil, twisted Groundhog day.

The wait is killin' me!

 

Yup, I know what it's like.

When I ordered mine, the ETA for my order was "the week of 3/16" (March 16th was Friday). Surprisingly or not, the car arrived early morning on the 15th (Thursday)... Pretty accurate if you ask me considering the fact that the ETA was given to me 3 months in advance...

I ordered my car in Oct of last year and took delivery this past Friday. Although, the car came in last Friday. Five months, and it was well worth the wait.

 

You and me both! First, we were told that out G will come last Friday (March 23). But now it's suppose to come on the 30th of March. I can't wait!

 

I ordered mine last week and was given an ETA of April 7th (which is a Saturday). But the salesman told me that date was very tentative and that it could arrive anytime in April (early, middle, or late April). He also told me that they were getting delivery of new G35s every day. So I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to wait long.

 

Well, here it is, March 30, 2007... delivery day.
Guess what... My car is sitting on the docks in NJ, and not in my driveway.

I called the dealer and they explained that being "Month End", they are very busy.
Fact is, they want to move a ton of cars and don't care two bits about the guys who have been waiting for weeks/months.

I should have it next week, after the month-end rush, or so they say.

 

They showed me the order sheet with a estimated delivery of April 7th. Its already sitting in my garage, as it came in early. To be exact, they called me last last Friday. Oh, what a surprise

 

Ok I hear you on the Christmas Eve with no Christmas morning feeling!

All my dealership will tell me is that it will be some time in May. They told me that they can't give me any more definite information until a minimum of 3 weeks ahead of time. I'm dying because I want to know if it is early May or the end of May.

Can other dealerships check status if they have the order number? If so, anyone who's on here from a dealership wanna do me a favor?

 

I guess i'm having bad luck also...our dealership also said that they were very "busy"...our G was suppose to come LAST Friday, however, there was a delay in shipping. It was suppose to come today, however, the car just reached Toronto but they didn't unload it yet. So now the dealership said they'll pick up the car over the weekend and detail it (clear bra) and give it to us Tuesday. I HOPE!

 

Ya know... when I order a lousy $10- item on Amazon, I get a tracking number and I know where my package is through it's entire shipment process.... from warehouse to my front door.

I wish Infiniti could give us tracking numbers like UPS does.
I'd be hitting that site 20 times a day!!!

 

Yep, got my delivery date today and it is on a Friday. Weird if you ask me but hey a date is a date.

 

I hope your date is accurate.
I was given March 30, also a Friday.
It's now Sunday morning and my car is in Jersey!

I don't know where you are but I think if it were anywhere within about a day's drive I would be telling them to come along with me because we were going to pick it up.

 

Don't think I didn't consider the idea.

There were 2 things to cause me to wait.

1- My sales guy is MIA. The manager blaims end-of-month business.
I guess once they have my deposit, I'm not that important anymore.

2- They claim it will be here within a few days. I have to hand the keys to my 06 MDX to the wife when I take delivery of the G... so I figured I spend the weekend detailing that and getting it ready for her abuse... I mean, enjoyment.

 

Well, I got some good new and some bad news today.
My car should be in tomorrow and it normally only takes one day to prep it... that was the good news.

The bad news?... the 3M certified employee who will be installing my protective film is on vacation.
I can't have the car until Tuesday at the earliest!
