Anyone get in the mail an "Infiniti Extended Protection Plan - Elite"

I received today a booklet from Infiniti for a vehicle agreement with a police for "Infiniti Extended Protection Plan - Elite" which cost $626 and has a $50.00 deductible. and it's a 5 year 60,000mi plan. it includes car rental reimbursement, road side assistance, 250 miles of towing to a dealer and $500 trip interruption benefit.

Is this my warranty? I'm having trouble understanding the deductible, does that mean I need to pay $50.00 to have warranty work done?

What concerns me also is there is a lengthy list of what's NOT covered by this agreement i.e. remote keyless entry assembly, leaks, any/all in-vehicle communication systems, any repairs related to loss of performance, any failure resulting from overheating of the power train, modification of the vehicle from the original factory specifications, service adjustments not usually associated with the replacement of parts, or any failures resulting from pre-existing conditions which were present at the time of vehicle sale to you.

Reading the list of what's not covered pretty much means your Fu@&ed on all levels if they want..... I don't see anything where it states who has the burden of proof. So do I need to prove the vehicle didn't have the issue when I took delivery, or do they need to prove it did have the issue when I took delivery?

This is quite a disturbing piece of information which I've never received in my past purchases of vehicles.

Has anyone else received this "Infiniti Extended Protection Plan - Elite" Makes me wonder how bad the warranty is on those that don't have "Elite" coverage

Edit: correct 5yr from 6yr.

The terms sound a lot like the normal warranty, so it sounds like you're paying $650 for a two-year extention (and isn't 60k miles the norm?).

Are you sure it's even from Infiniti? I just received one for my wife's Sequoia that said "Toyota" at the top in their logo font - but after reading it closely, it's clear that they aren't affiliated with Toyota at all. I'm sure they would defend it with "Well, it's for a Toyota and we're just telling you...".

Lightbulb

This isn't something I paid for even though it has a price on it. it's something that just came in the mail, it's not a bill because it states my current entitlements. I'm pretty sure this is from Infiniti, I've looked over the whole thing and it's all about infiniti and has my dealers information. My dealer paperwork doesn't have that charge anywhere, so if they purchased it for me, well they ate the cost, I only paid what I agreed to pay down to every line, which I calculated my self and it all works out correct.

It's not an extended warranty because the coverage seems to be the same, 5yr/60,007 because I picked up the car with 7 miles.

I thought I'd ask here first before calling the dealer,

G35Now, I get those all the time for my jeep, they deceptivly try to con you into a 3rd party warranty by leading you to believe it's a direct manufactures warranty. Those have to be illegal, sounds like mail fraud.

So no one else received this? huh... I'll let a few more readers view this before calling the dealer.

Edit, wanted to mention it's a 5yr not 6 year as my first post stated, 2012 is 5 from 2007... duh

This is Infiniti's extended warranty -- this is not something connected to your new vehicle warranty. It comes into force once your new car warranty runs out.
The deductible applies only to work done after your regular warranty expires.
It is provided by Infiniti -- not a 3rd party.

btw, your original bumper-to-bumper warranty is for 4y/48k miles. The 60k is for powertrain only.

I did receive some info on this "elite" plan when I purchased my G.

Hope that helps

Yes big help, thanks Max, looks good, I really have to hand it to my dealer, they've done a lot that I just didn't expect, free all weather mats, nitrogen tires, oil changes for life of car, free pickup and drop off service at my work with a loaner, free wheel locks.

I know people will say it's not free, but I negotiated the price of the car and that's what they charged me, if they didn't do any of the above (and other things they have done) I wouldn't have cared because I didn't expect it... this is hundreds of $$ in extras I didn't expect but obviously they paid for out of their cut.

Infiniti Elite Extended Protection Plan --- extended warranty

I just got a quote for my 07 G35 with 47,000 miles -- $0 deductible, 4 years, 48,000 miles for a discounted price of $2173. Your price looks like a good deal and now I am wondering if mine is a really bad deal. I think I will shop around at a few other dealers. Any input would be appreciated.

Prices may have increased as that was over 3 years ago now.
