For everyone losing phonebook voicetags, are the destination (GPS) tags being lost at the same time?

Are you deleting a cell phone from the list of paired phones? If a cell phone is deleted, the phonebook associated with that phone gets tossed as well.

Unsure - don't have any destinations set

I've lost my voice tags twice. I can't figure out what preceded it. I re-enter them and they work fine, get it right every time. It doesn't lose the phone numbers or names I've given them but the voice tags are clearly gone.

Cool Lost my Voice Tags for the Third Time Yesterday!

I lost my voice tags for the third time yesterday. I re-entered them only about 2 weeks ago (Lucky, I only have 6 right now).

I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but yesterday, I had turned off my Bluetooth on my Blackberry while at work. I don't usually turn Bluetooth off, but by yesterday afternoon my battery was low, so I was trying to reserve power.

On my way home from work, when I tried to make a call using the handsfree, I got he message "No Phone Connected", and then I remembered that I had turned off the BT. When I turned it back on and tried to make a call, my voice tags were gone.

I wonder if this is part of the problem. Anyway, I hope Infiniti resolves this soon, but it may take them a while.

Regards,

Any fixes to this?

Hi,

Looks like I am a few months late to this, but I have also lost my phonebook voicetags about 3 times, with the same symptoms. The phone address book is still there, the destination address book is still there, and the destination voicetags are still there.

I've tried playing around with the nav system, the music box, and various other systems to get it to lose the voicetags, but I can't seem to replicate it. The only as yet untested theory I have left is my wife's phone: she and I both have Razrs; I wonder if the car gets somehow confused when it sees her phone, which we have never paired with it. It's a longshot, but it's all I have left.

Any idea on the cause or a possible fix?

Thanks.

My voice tags are gone as well. Although the phone numbers are still present. 2nd time for me. Now I canonly dial by saying the "number", not by name

My dealer fixed this problem for me in January when they replaced the Nav processor. Has been fine ever since.

Does replacing the Nav processor mean also replacing the hard drive? That is, am I going to lose all my music box CD's?

Just wondering....

The short answer is Yes. I hadn't loaded much up to that point, but anything stored will have to be replaced. The unit is in the trunk, and to my understanding, the whole processor package was replaced.

Alan, that's good to hear the fix has held up for you.

That really bites. I've spent a considerable amount of time loading my CDs and have the MB almost full. Still have my voicetags though. We'll see if they get lost a fourth time.
