Here is the method I use for mp3 CDs and the tracks display on screen.

I have all of my songs on iTunes but rather than using that program to burn the cds I use Roxio Toast 7. If you have a Mac the actual mp3 fron iTunes are located in the "user" folder and then go to "my music" inside you will find the itunes music all catalogued by artist and album. (There might be a similar folder on the PC)

Drag the artist folder into the Toast window to burn your CD. Make sure you check the actual songs that they have .mp3 as the suffix. If you made your iTunes AAC (mp4) they won't play in the G35. You can convert them in iTunes if you want.

When you load the CD you just made into the G35 player there will be a Root Folder for the disc. Then the Album Folder and the Song Titles within that folder. You should be able to fit about 130 songs per cd. So that's 780 songs when you load 6 cds and that should last you a few weeks without repeats!!

Bruce ....

You missed a small titbit of info .... the 07 G's CD changer does NOT play mp3 CDs. It will only play regular audio CDs (original or CD-R will both work)

So the best way to keep many songs is either multiple CF cards (or) iPod thru the aux inputs.

07 sedans w/o navigation have an in dash cd changer that can read MP3 CDs and are not equipped with the CF card reader.

Ah ... thanks for pointing that out !!!
I totally forgot about the non-CF cars ..... CF is so cool that I kinda get blinded by it at times

Converting mp4 to mp3 on iTunes

I believe the "advanced" menu has the option to convert files to mp3.

Yeah, I found it, converting about 1200 songs now, lol. It's taking a year and a day.

Great info. Your post prompted me to try burning another CD so I could display title info. I burned a single CD into MP3 format and it worked. I thought Awesome, it's the first time been able to view titles!! Then I burned 4 albums from one band onto a CD and it actually let's you view the albums first then select the album by toggling, then select to view the song list. You can hit the "back" button to go back to the albums list at anytime to select another album. You are right you can put a ton of albums on one CD. These 4 albums took up about 1/10th of the space on that CD. I'm sure it's a lower quality sound, but my ears are not good enough to hear the difference.

Thanks for the info, great stuff!!

It's still too bad you can't view your list of songs without it changing songs everytime you scroll down the list
